Hawk couldn't help but flash a smirk at her as she talked, he poured another round of Schnapps and turned towards her.
"I love my job, wouldn't give it up for the world, but some can't handle the pressure that we face daily."
He nodded in an agreement to her statements about Lou before downing the third shot of Peppermint Schnapps quickly and placing the glass back down onto the counter, he glanced around the room before returning his focus to Black.
"It has indeed been too long, I'm glad Lou opened the doors to this magnificent place again. Many good times shared with my brothers in arms, especially my wingman. So what about you? Whats your story?"
She held the shotglass with her fingers gently looking at it, before looking back at Hawk nodding in agreement
"Indeed, working with my fellow colleagues is something I'm kind of addicted to, if that's the correct word to say...."
She downed the shot , then put the glass back on the counter gently, she seemed to be a bit dizzy, but she maintained her focus back.
"Nothing much, My quarters were at Hades, I got transferred here a few months ago. Coronado, Baffin, Cortez... Those systems means something more than the Taus for me.....It's somewhere away from all this Outcast nonesense" she pauses for a few[i] "It's not that I don't enjoy blowing them up..." She sighs lightly before a small smile appeared on her face.
He flashed a smirk then at her exclamation of addiction to working with co-workers.
"I've never heard it put quite like that, though out there, you depend on your colleagues with your life. So an understandable premise."
He put the bottle of Schnapps down on the bar and waved over the barkeep to take it away, who did so quickly and brought two ice cold beers for them instead. Nighthawk took his and began to sip it casually, almost like washing down the Schnapps.
"Quite a history then. I've been all over the place myself, though most of it I cannot share with you. I've faced the sniffers though, filthy pack they are. I don't doubt that anyone wants to blow them up."
He took another swig of his beer as he turned to face the room, looking around at the patrons bustling about.
"The only thing missing now is a good brawl to bet on."
"There is no one-man army after all, Fighting with your wingmen defines the outcome of the battle. And ofcourse, coordination."
She pauses for a bit and smiles slightly as she takes the cold beer not taking a sip of it as of yet.
"You can define their personality through their way of fighting"
she pauses for a few and sighs, some sort of a sad expression crosses her face.
"I've lost a few wingmen myself..."
But soon the expression ran over with a smile again, as she took a sip from the beer, she glances over Hawk
"It should be nice to space throughout systems away from Coronado and the Taus....."
She turns back looking aswell at incoming people into the bar after Hawk's glance, she turns back to him chuckling.
He chuckled softly as he took another sip of his beer.
"We've all lost wingmen, such is the way of combat. Mine is on an assignment far away from here, so I've not literally lost him, he's just not flying with me at the moment. "
He placed the bottle down on the bar as he glanced around the room one more time before his focus turned back to Black, he adjusted his shades a little as he smirked at her comment about naughty.
"My Dear, you have no idea..."
A grin curled his lips upwards then as he stared at her for a bit before picking up his beer again and enjoying an ice cold sip of it, he leaned back against the bar.
