And please, infiltration, Syrus? Didn't know Scorpion drones were aimed for that. Lame excuses.
I shouldn't even reply to this, actually, I keep screaming at me right now for doing so, since it's pointless anyway, replying to you.

Anyway, screaming aside! Scorpions. As. Attack. Craft. My dear not-friend, the ship is a defense ship. Take it to house space, it'll have the military and special forces, be it BIS or MND (or LSF or Kemp...K...whatever) on it so fast, it'd be slaughtered right away and examined after being brought to a high security facility. Obviously, the Wilde, with their limited ressources just can't risk such a blatant waste. From what I saw so far, most Wilde, most, not all, were more out for just shooting people. That's just not how Wilde could act, being in the state they are in. I mean, sure, the Order couldn't act like that either, but ... let's ignore the elephant in the room for once.
I'd just love to see the faction, being restricted to members only, but having a very big amount of freedom, to be a good example for RP. And infiltration can only be done in RP. I don't say "NO PVP AT ALL!", because that's stupid and wrong. But turning it back a little might be in favor of the faction they try to represent. Opening the ID to indies makes the thing even more ridiculous.
Unlike the Wilde, the Nomads have unknown strength, probably having rather few problems replacing their losses if necessary. At least to a much bigger degree than the Wilde.
Yes, I know, the beforementioned problem of the ressources and replacing loss exists for everyone, especially for the smaller factions like Hackers or LWB. The main problem is, though, that the Wilde have to have that freedom. I can't see what else they should be able to do "without it". Play like RM? Then you could just as well play with the RM ID and RP as an infected. Subtlely. I saw that before. Play like a pirate, to gather the ressources needed for rebuilding lost ships? Well, ... yet another pirate faction, mh? Also, ressources won't replace people lost, unless you go back to Nomads being some kind of biological machines, which are probably grown or something. Oh well, babbling on: No. There shouldn't be an open terrorist ID. Even if you call it "Wilde ID". And yes, the goddamn soft targets need some protection. Or make them "not-soft" anymore. But that'd cause an outrage just as well. Maybe think a bit further than he usual 1 m² in which you, yourself and your highness resides. There are people beyond that, who play the game differently than just constant pvp'ing and who wish to have a little fun as well, without being just target practice.

EDIT:
vvv point made why one shouldn't even reply to your post. Thanks for reminding me again. Should've listened to the screaming.

Trololol but we're talking about the Omegas, aren't we? Or now IMG can rival the aforementioned groups in terms of military?

PS: Dunno lol, seems Syrus could be Das Wilde member himself due to his extended wisdom regarding the faction.

Pure Nomads (aka Keepers/K'hara/Nomad ID):

Blue jelly things that shoot the living shit out of you the moment they see you ingame. Not much to do there, just need to know how to do nomad speak which is extremely easy to learn these days considering the drop of standards.

Wild, ingame, let's just say that they're a bit more complex. They're hidden, they act like humans and operatives in house intelligence groups. You can't just "know" that something is a Wild RP wise, why? They use human ships and the only time when they really would attack something outright is when they have it cornered and are sure that no information would get out when they attacked. This of course is incredibly hard to do due to having a Wilde ID in the first place and 90% of the people you'll come across won't give a damn about Wild lore and just see you as a nomad. Of course Wild players would also use non-Wilde ID characters and so forth to track their targets down and follow them, signaling the real firepower to come and kill it, etc etc. Of course, that's how the Wilde playerbase used to be, or at least tried following that path although they don't have to.

So as you can see, it's quite a bit more complicated than general pure nomad activity, and considering how the Nomad ID became public in order to test it out, and as far as I've seen people don't even bother to do the most simple nomad things. So I doubt very much they'll be able to do more complicated tasks and playstyles either.

NOTE. If you haven't noticed, I said Wild, not Wilde. Because the Wilde doesn't do all that anymore (maybe only rarely, from what I've seen) and their standards have dropped as well, compared to their older state, and I haven't seen much improvement in the last few months, people just don't care about complexity anymore.

Oh and, as for the Kusari Wild (the Iseijin), I've got to hand to them, they play their role quite well and in the required complexity, especially the first Iseijin.

tl;dr:

No, the "public" doesn't know how to use them.

If you ask me I would say that The Wild ID should not be open to the public! I think that this will ruin the Wild RP charakter. However it should be possible to join the NPC faction if you prove to the Devs that you know Wild RP and are willing to perform it! If you have to do some kind of ritual for the Wild players which are online one time every year ( i know that this is not true but you get my point! Big Grin) then its just to hard and honestly to annoying to go through it

I find lack of work for the Order (and the Bundschuh, *Coughs.*) disturbing. Das Wilde gain new members rarely. :| I'd rather prefer open recruiment for das Wilde, though. To sort out retards and teach people at least basics of infectee RP.

yes, it can't be worse than what happened with the public nomads and it will allow those that want to play one to do it as the current wild official faction is worthless.

Nope.
IMO, just make Wilde with recruitment. Harsh, but open recruitment. Who really want to join Wilde faction, will do their best to achive their goal.

I think it's something they would have done by now instead of logging 2 days of activity for the past two years to keep their officialty. It's an unfunny truth about many factions and not just the wilde, but most of these have an alternative that the wilde currently doesn't offer in the event of a collapse
