EDIT: I still think that a faction, expecially one like the BHG who is supposed to be always on top tiers in the tech race, should be able to "evolve" beyond its Vanilla face.

It has evolved, look at the capital ships in the AP line. And look for the model of the Manta that Massdriver did.

My model didn't took me an hour, but the time when I started to the end, been interrupted in between, ended up being a hour. probably would have taken me about 30 minutes or less to create it completely. Still trying to get UV mapping to work right.
