It is still actual, Scout.

Interesting design that incorporates the "troop combat transport" idea quite well. Only thing that I object are its bulky engines and the wings. It reminds me a bit too much of the current X-Shuttle model. You should perhaps reconsider the main wings. and perhaps put the engines in a smaller version at the back wings, similar to the current zoner GB done by Jinx.

The nose itself is also a bit too round for my taste..

My 2 cent

The stem that connects to the main body <-> engine is to support the weight of the massive engine it has. The engine itself is made bulked due to (my understanding of transports) carrying very heavy cargo and lifts in Planetary ground to air. So I decided slap in a 'massive looking' engine to compensate visually its torque to lift.

The nose indeed can be trim down. Probably its chin makes it a bit too 'roundish'. Will consider that to be worked on.

Well, I would not put that much effort into the "troop carrier" idea for a gunboat. I mean, the Hathor is still meant to be a gunboat and not a transport.

Oh, don't take it as an offense, but your model somehow reminded me of the Sea Duck

No no offence at all. Either way, this is just a project I was doing to dust off my rust in 3d modeling. That being said - I really want to change the design of the Order Capital starting with the Geb. What stops me is what kind of design can i go to? (rhetorical question)

I was thinking on creating a model that is similar to the Pelican from the Halo games or something similar to the MechWarrior VTOL concepts. As for the Recon Cruiser I am already forming the nose. Somewhat a Cross-head Massive Satellite that can detect object at from far distance or the entire system depending on the system size (inRP).

Regarding the Geb and Resheph, from my point of view they should have similar shape to the Osiris, as that one was the basic for both designs inRP, though you can heavily modify the frame. Don't know what Omicron as leader of Order| will say about it. Or just look at his first post in here.

*Edit*

Just got an idea for the Hathor: How about you take some inspiration from this Assault Dropship from Battletech?

Impressive. My head just budged with few ideas and body concept.

Also Recon Cruiser - still needs more details: http://p3d.in/CbZSQ

Gunboat - can it be more armored? Cover the engines more, add more hull between said engines and the main body - after all its primary purpose will be fighting its way through. Give it a feeling of being flat flying wing more than a boat with two engines attached at the sides.

Cruiser - I would like it to be more vertical like Osiris and current Resheph is. At current this is not simmilar to anything The Order ever had.

I agree with your reply, Omicron. Will consider your thoughts. Meanwhile, I am recreating the same concept of the current Order gunboat and improvising its details: http://p3d.in/g2bEY

Edit: Just a peak of what it looks like.

Thoughts?
