As far as I know, Sir Lauderdale (played by elgato) was the one who threw you into New London's Tower back then - Cooper could release you.

Of course, you might want to roleplay a more formal announcement coming from the Queen or the PM.

this is kind of a cool idea and I definatly support and wish the best to Dieter. My concern is though that this could very easily turn into a RM control area, with minimal to no indy involvement because the Grand Admiral doesn't approve. And Grand Admiral definatly trumps my Vice Admiral (RP only) and Gunboat Commander that I play as. :(

Bretonia is a cool place and could use all the people involved as she can get, don't force the indys out please.

Something I'm not quite clear on: Why does this move with BAF - and I fully support you there, Dieter - require a change in the political situation, thereby removing one of the FED's main reasons for existing? Why can't BAF continue to be under a strong monarchy, just newly reorganized?

Again, I'm open to discussion and new ideas, but I'd like to know this first.

My idea came about as a misunderstanding about the permanence of FED. Thought it was something you were doing on a temporary basis. Since it may be intended to be more permanent, I'm wrong.

I'm going to summarize how we should relate:

1) The BAF being under the MOD means you guys try to stay more political, rather than go to the guns. I think you tended that way anyway.

2) FED will not simply be KOS to BAF, but we will keep an eye on you while in Bret space, and will stop you from interfering in trading. Analogy is how cops treat known gang members, when they aren't actually committing crimes.

I will ask a favour thought. I'd like you to do one post in your Bret Politics thread to help this along. I'll PM you.

I can say from my experience that Bretonia would have fallen were it not for the fine indy ships holding the line when all seemed lost. I'd hope to see this co operation acknowledged and these ties strengthened.

Ok, I am one of those (Indes) BAF-Flint jr and I have been pretty solid in the BAF camp since I joined Disco. I am still working on the Bio for him but I was playing him as a Lt. that due to some (Family) run ins with the Royal Line politics was still Bretionan. I have worked with some of the members of the QCRF(P). Mostly to either give them a break or be bait while they get the killing shot. haha But they were nice enough to pick me up and drop my pod at the nearest civalized port.

I think I would be interesting to join a BAF faction and if for some reason it doesn't work out I will accept an Inde preffix if a change is needed. Flint family Bio in sig.

Personally I think it should be {BAF} or [BAF] for the preffix.

Like I said either way, I think this is a good idea.
