So, um. Tell me why I haven't been hired for like few months, despite offering my services as Freelancer to everyone in Liberty? Have I been doing something wrong, perhaps? Or people are actually quite negative to hire escorts, because they lose credits?

Oh yes, I don't like your attitude. Change your tone, calm down, perhaps take some ADHD pill and then try to make a normal comment, with capital letters, proper punctuation... You know, the basics?

sorry grandma, but if there was anyone id be bothered about whether they liked my attitude, somebody with a furry avatar is on the very bottom of that list, lol.

What will 10 million do to give you something to do in the first place?

I would suggest this would also encourage new players to not try out the other (possibly) more profitable was of earning credits, mining, smuggling and trading. The experiences gained while doing these activities make you a better player and more accustomed to RPing with all types of player. If you enjoy policing and cannot afford to run a police ID character out right then just supplement it with profits made on a trader.

Okay, since I guess I didn't explain this well enough before, I'll list more clearly the three main reasons why I don't think it's a good idea.

- Adding searching for and dealing with afkers to admin work is total nonsense. They do not need that kind of burden I'm sure. Aside from that, while gaining activity on tagged ships by afking is not allowed, it's not actually against the rules to afk on a non-tagged ship, and seeing how the server hasn't actually capped in years I don't see why it should be. What if my RP is to stare at planet Moros for hours continuously?

- There is too much money in the economy already. Between commodity buffs, unending mining buffs and hey, brand-new FLHook events (which are awesome), it's very easy to make money already. Personally, I don't have any troubles spending money since if I have enough I just buy more CauVIIIs and battleships. But a lot of people have way more than they can ever spend already.
And those people? That don't really spend money on much of anything to begin with? If they start accumulating ten million on this snub, thirty on that, they may just never trade again.

- There is something....philosophically wrong with paying people oorply to play. What kind of message are we trying to send here anyway? In the end a few million credits, or a hundred million credits, is just a way to get another ship or armor or equip.
People should log ships that don't normally make any or much money because they want to fly those ships and play those characters.
It just doesn't seem right that I magically suck 10 million credits from the ether because I was flying my XA for a while.
We can gain money by earning it, by mining and getting paid, by trading goods, by hunting bounties, by escorting, by taking missions. I feel like there's something inherently wrong with being paid for absolutely no inrp reason whatsoever.

This is quite honestly gamebreaking.

I proposed an idea to the Order a long time ago that when the Nomad patrols come by the Battleship Isis (Or was it the Battleship Isil? Hard to tell these days.) that you just fire off a few shots at them and when the Battleship vapes them, you tractor in the creditcards/Nomad remains that drop and then send a transport filled with it to a base that buys them (Like Willard Research Station.)

The idea was that at the time, Order activity was on a high and we almost ALWAYS had someone just sitting outside of Toledo doing absolutely nothing. It was a way to simply maximize time and efficiency and then have people turn in the Nomad remains.

I got laughed at.

So on my own I sat outside of Toledo and vaped Nomads and in that time I made a good amount of money. In a week, you could fund a Cap-8 Osiris if you had an organized team of people doing nothing outside of Toledo simply contribute the Nomad remains they tractor in. I mean, they just sat there anyway, it didn't require much effort to simply collect.

Lets say we log around 40 hours of activity a week in a faction. That is 400M a week, 1.6B a month. If we were getting paid to sit there, I would have everyone log in while they watch Youtube videos or anime or do their homework and AFK so we can collect on that.

5 people contributing 2 hours a day ends up as 700M a week.

You'd have factions basically snowballing Cap-8's.

I'm sorry, but I don't see these money anywhere. The problem is, no one wants to hire escorts nowadays, except for MAYBE two official factions. Myself, I spend around 5 months searching for an escort job in Liberty. In Liberty. With no avail. Bounty Hunting? Pirates log off as as soon as they see name of my character on the list - or targets are levels above skill I can offer. Piracy? I've witnessed dozen times how traders went stilent, not reacting to my hails, just impulsing towards the base/gate/TL - becoming the most disappointing blues ever.

I don't say trading is bad, since I convinced myself to do this (as I found pretty lucrative routes), mind you. I'm just saying there's no reward for logging other characters, since most of the time I see log-blue-out situations.

How about instead of rewarding afking missions would finally get fixed?

It's not going to happen, as far as people see missions as challenges. The noobs, seeing there's alternative to trade, get the 2 million worth missions. You can only imagine their surprise right after the encounter with battleships or gunboats - or NPCs with player snub equipment and unlimited powercore.

The latter is more unfair, being tougher than an average PvP encounter.
