I sure as hell hope I dont get purged, I like my characters and have do e a ton more for RHA than past leaders. Killing off people's entire work on this game is going to far.

Thats coming from the person that torches peoples pobs that have existed for years.

It is a tool that is used in cases where there are reasons to believe that a member has edited their older posts to contain material that they were banned for.

It's a tool that will delete all post of a spammer and ban the IP, as you knew that already since its not the first time is being used while you were been part of the staff.
It's meant to stop a spammer as the name suggested and its the only option a moderator has to ban an ip.

Exactly What Hannibal said. We were taught to never press "Purge" because it basically deleted everything made by user. I mean "OK. Poop happens"

Is there a way to even revert such a purge in the event someone presses it?
Like, sure, Shiki deserved a slap, but not everythin to be deleted. He worked hard for all he has done.
Its like someone stepping in your carefully tended to garden for 30 years, and putting a flamethrower on it and saying "sux2bu"

Get the snapshot DB of the forum that is 1 week old. Start exporting only posts made by Shiki then import those DB entries into the current DB of the running forum. Of course that would probably only be possible if IDs in the database tables didn't get overwritten or something after the purge. I'm not an expert here though, never did any MyBB administrating.

i think conrad set the backup to be made once each 3 days last time

however admins don't have that kind of access(only to VM of a the windows running the fl server) and no knowledge of how to restore specific posts/threads

so.. up to alley
