The Point this thread is trying to make, Is not really Losing your ship and everything on it etc. But to point out how much is lost on a POB, Not even counting the months involved in making the Darn thing and setting it up, and maybe Billions and Billions of Credits on it.

But the main point is how fast someone can make a BS, and the Unfair Balance between a BS and a POB. I mean a BS can Fire Missiles from 5 and 10k out. all a POB Owner is asking is a fair chance. What I suggest is a List of Base owners on a forum Post so the Owner can be contacted Directly. Since GC doesn't seem to be willing sadly not to consider Base insurance at this time. and a chance to have the base moved once destroyed.

There needs to be a list on the forums of all Base Owners so it can be mandatory that a base owner is contacted Directly so he can try to come to a Understanding with the Party that wants the base destroyed, Remember Not everyone reads the Forums all the time. maybe the Option of Paying for the right to keep the base, Or maybe paying to leave the base alone so they can have it moved ASAP. Changing the IFF or some other compromise.

Remember Most bases that are open to everyone are providing a Service to the Whole Server Like Mining bases. a Mining base is set up to do just that, Help everyone with mining not only themselves.

Now if a Locked and or Restricted base has it's doors locked to everyone it is not doing a Service for the server. but that's another story.

Please consider next time you want to go Destroy a base all the People on the Server that will lose that base as a asset. cause most bases that a player use will not want to go destroy a base they themselves need. So why do it to so many others.

POB owners need some kind of ruling or something to at least give them a chance. cause hardly any base attacker will hit when everyone is on and ready to defend the base. Again all Base owners are asking for is a fair shake like everyone else wants.

Please Consider Base insurance. and ask the server GM's for it. the base can still be destroyed. but the POB Owner want leave the server over losing there base most likely. Remember we want to keep every GC member we can get. Not be driven away. we cant afford to lose to many Members.
