It looks like the Cruiser with a longer neck.

Facilitating the rise of robotics since 0 A.D.

Maybe make the bridge a bit more squared? With more sharp edges? I mean, Rheinlanders seem to be very practical people, without useless decorations and such, and assembling a box would be easier than assembling a sphere, right?

What kind of powerplant were you thinking of assigning it?

As for the forward gun, you have read my mind. Half way through the thread, I was thinking of suggesting just that. Ideally, a coaxial rail gun, but..

Perhaps an alternate design?

The first model looked very good in my opinion (Save for the bloody awful texture that is) and if followed all of the Rheinland ship design trends from vanilla, I'd say stick with that and work on the texture, which will be an absolute load of work, the textures on the Vanilla Rheinland ships are amazingly complex, they don't even use all Rheinland textures, the Rheinland Gunboat has some textures normally used on Stations (recolored to be green of course) on it.

The second one is simply bloody awful, lost all of the Rheinland design elements in it.

I would recommend to add some of those fat wings (think Hathor GB).

You could design a hammer that looks like a rheinland battlecruiser...

But anyway,

The firs tone is quite good, it just needs a little more features around the head/neck.
