I'm pretty sure everyone has read this now but in case you haven't here is the run down.
I wanna make a research char and base him in a Slave Liner because it will fit the deep space research aspect of it (discussed below).

Now I want to know how I should mark the research vessel. I have a name for it (White-Bear) but I'm at a loss on how to designate it.I was thinking along the lines of RV-White.Bear, [RV]-White-Bear or something along those lines. note that the RV stands for Research Vessel. any suggestions on this?

Oddly enough, i have a research vessel in a Prison liner.
the Name of the vessel is R/V-Poseidon
thats the naming convention i used, because its similar to the way they do it on earth currently.

and i bought the prison liner, because, for the price vs. stats of the other liners, you cant beat it. really good price.

Oddly enough, i have a research vessel in a Prison liner.
the Name of the vessel is R/V-Poseidon

I could have used that naming convention, oh well live and learn. I thought about the prison liner but I liked the look of the Pilgrim liner better.

Just tell me why would a billionare researcher use a slave liner ?? he would use a cruise liner or a Zoner Juggernaut . OR something that can house all his Cargo I suggest a Special Request for a Researcher ID with Zoner Jinksku .

This researcher uses a slave liner because he is on a budget and likes the look of the Pilgrim liner and the slave liner was fist used as an exploration craft, perfect for deep space research. A zoner Jugg hasn't got as much cargo as the liner has.

What do you mean? my character is a researcher who goes into deep space from time to time and researches nebula's and formations of planet and stuff. This is not the only things he does. That ship is also his home and his trading business on the side. Having a battleship wouldn't work for my character at all because they can't go into house systems like Stuttgart and they become a very big juicy target for lolwut bombers. I don't need a colony all I need to be happy is the liner and people RP with.
