How? Right now, it's like the cruise engines use more energy then the reactor can produce, so it eats into the reserves (weapon energy). But, when it reaches the end of that reserve energy your speed remains the same? Odd.

In addition, why would I create an engine that makes me lose the ability to shoot for a very significant amount of time? I'd rather have a slower engine.

The bottom line is that this change was not created to foster a sense of 'realism'. It was created to remove a very fair rule.

It's not 20, it's 5! At least on my Geisha. And if you cruise in a dogfight, you loose. So what's the problem?

Light fighter + (NPC + CD) = death

Gallia should be renamed the Spartan Thunder Dome.

I vote Remove, not that this is an option.

So many things would need rebalancing to make the energy drain work - countermeasures, fighter and bomber weapons to name just two - that it's probably not worth the hassle.

I actually like this energy drain mechanic, but in it's current incarnation it's just not working as intended to my mind.

I always thought that the power for weapons was the power left over from that used by the engines and what not.

i love how you guys just +1 to flame someone do you all really get that worked up over something related to or that occurred in a GAME?

Just dont post if the guy annoys you so dam much.

Anyway on topic. The recharge time for fighters/bombers after i tested it a few times seems to be quite good to me anyway.

The time it takes to fire your weapons for larger ships should be decreased if its so apparently bad for everyone ill test it on my one cap ship and ill get back to you on the cap recharge.

Oh but if the cruise rule gets changed back then remove the entire thing.

Ive had enough of disco for now. I might be back at the next mod release.
