Give the Kusari Destroyer a gunboat shield.
Give the Kusari Gunboat a freighter shield.

Give the Bretonia Gunboat a destroyer shield.


End balance?

The Kusari destroyer is in no way overpowered. It has HUGE weaknesses that you only have to know about to totally decimate it in a fight. In fact the small size is one of it's only advantages. If you upscale it, you're going to have to give it more turrets, better turret arcs, a larger power plant, and better armor.

Besides from what I understand, with the new cruiser weapons that are being put in game, the Kusari dessie is getting a really good unneeded nerf so I wouldn't worry about it.

We just need to see how the new capital ship revisions work out before trying to change anything around...

If we are talking about rescaling so i just put models of kusari destroyer, bretodestroyer and fearless together, so resizing kusari destroyer to x2 will made it way bigger then current bretonia destroyer if someone from those who voted x2 are interested. Well, we can talk about, maybe scaling on 1.3. And after that all removed turrets should be... well, take a look on post above.

You're right, it's not. But that is not the issue here, the issue is the Kusari Destroyer is halting progress, holding back all the rest of the Cruisers. If they recieve any sort of buff, the Kusari Destoyer becomes and uberpwn ship.

Si, checked, i'm right i think. with x2 scaling it become bigger then bretodestroyer but it has all stats way lower then breto one have.

P.S. i voted for no changes. Reasons are listed.

Lets just compare to the Thresher. Another smallish and agile destroyer.

When comparing just pure numbers, sure they look just about the same. That doesn't seem fair does it? The Kusari destroyer is slightly more agile as well. So what's the difference? Lets look at turret arcs.

Kusari Destroyer
Forward: 9
Each Side: 2
Rear: 2

Thresher
Forward: 8
Each Side: 5
Rear: 8

See the difference? These two ships share just about the same front and rear profile, the Thresher is not much bigger, yet look at those turret arcs. I don't have a lot of details, but from what I understand the Kusari destroyer is going to be able to only use one heavy turret with the new cruiser designs. I'm also going to guess they put it on the top front mount which has a somewhat limited arc. If so, the Kusari destroyer is going to get much weaker. I would argue that it will make it too weak, but I'm not on the dev team and I don't know for sure how the new gun is going to be set up.

For anyone that didn't catch it, I voted no. Leave the Kusari destroyer alone.


EDIT: I'm willing to bet about half the people, if not more, that are voting on this have never even flown the Kusari destroyer. Try it out in multiplayer before you scream about how "unbalanced" it is.

Completely incorrect. A scaling of x2 would see the Thresher and Kusari Dessie of a smiliar size, meaning the KuD is again, roughly half the size of other Cruisers.

The Kusari Dessie's stats can also be adjusted with the upscaling. Nothing is set in stone here, remember. I'm sure Mjolnir would love an excuse to buff it up. I personally don't care what it's stats are, or what they become, all I care about is it's rediculous size.
