Their task normally is to outgun smaller cruisers and destroyer. So the only thing they could need is a thruster.
Thats for the tactical aspect.

Now to the skills. Always i see posted agility stats. These stats have a lesser difference than the skills of the pilots.
Also it seems some of you just want to compensate, that you cannot fly as many battleships as you want, because of the license. And now you want the BC as a "loophole" Battleship.

yes..i agree with you....battleship already cost so many money and need a license to fly it...

from wikipedia

battlecruisers were similar in layout and armament to battleships but they traded off armour or firepower for higher speed, which showed in their more powerful engines and slender hulls; they still retained enough firepower and protection to be classified as capital ships.



now..there is a problem..Battlecruiser's energy recharge rate is way more faster than Battleship..so their firepower is even higher than battleship..(heavy weapons.like cerberus..when i take down the hugo battleship i feel battlecruiser is insane....and with that energy recharge rate..so they can fire so many times).....for battleship..once their energy gone..is gone..(recharge rate not fast enough..)..for battlecruiser..it recharge so fast....so..should we make battlecruiser's recharge %/s should equal to battleship?

so, to sum it up - ....

- up their agility
- reduce their energy recharge

its a problem with the BCs, cause they have to use lvl9 and 10 weapons to be effective. and lvl 10 battleship weapons are by nature a lot less efficient than any other weapon. their energy consumption is waaay to big for what they gain for it - yet, its all for the balance, which works out somehow. ( excluding the mortars - which do enough boom for the energy )

in theory - a battlecruiser could get to a safe distance when its energy is depleted, they go at 140, while a battleship cannot go faster than 90. ( and engaging cruise = you lost, no matter what ) - but not sure if that works out in favour of ship balance.

since we just tested the battleship vs. BC. i think the BB would have won - but the BC did a lot more damage than i expected.

yes..that BC can destroy a Osiris..you won because your armour....and yes..jinx..up their agility and reduce their power recharge rate (energy recharge like a battleship) it's good..or we reduce their power capacity to 3000K andn the recharge rate down to 150K for all of those Battlecruiser..

I'd say up their agility and give them a thruster, but make it go at 120 m/s so they can't catch up that easily, to distinguish their size. The recharge does indeed need to go down. I'd actually suggest giving them an extra two Battleship guns, two is kind of pathetic...also, up the price. Bigtime. Make it half of a BS, maybe even require a license.

2 more Battleship slot? i have enough with motar spamming....but if energy capacity and recharge rate goes down..may be that could work..

Or maybe remake their weapons as a whole? Cruiser and battleship turrets have different projectile sppeds - accuracy suffers... So - decrease the overall number of tuurets and make them all be battleship ones. (say 8 or 9 max)

Sounds like a good idea..
Just equate all of its turrets with level 9 cruiser turrets..
Ain't the ships name already BattleCruiser?
Having extra armor is okay but leave its turrets as level 9 I would say..

Remember, Kress, that the term 'Battlecruiser' is in reference to the real-life ship type. These ships were armoured and maneuvered something like Cruisers, but were armed like Battleships. However, their commanders often had trouble working out how to use them in their strategies.

their weapon should weaker than battleship but stronger than cruiser..which is they shouldn't have class 10 turret slot but have more turret slot than normal cruiser..so imo they shoul have 12~13 cruiser turret slot and their power supply it should be like 2200K capacity and with 150K rechrage rate..so in this way...they have stronger firepower than normal cruiser but weaker firepower than battleship..
