I am asking why do official factions deserve another perk?

Well, because they're here to set an example, and if we help them fund themselves, they'd fly more often, and actually set an example. Right now, only a select number of factions are reliably active, not with some peaks here and there. A lot of these factions with activity problems also have a reasonable pool of indies, with which they'd actually get a decent number of hours online if they actually were members of their factions, and most of these indies only need a small push to become great players, a small push official factions can certainly give.

With the number of powertraders there are, I'm pretty sure it'd help out a couple of them. Not everyone's a Zoner who can spit out 15-30 millions like it ain't no thang.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

With the current 1 official faction per ID rule, this is nonsense.

I'll rephrase/add to daedric's question. Why the ones who got on this server earlier then others deserve it?

Joining date is irrelevant. Anyone in official factions would profit from it, and all of them can pretty much be joined.

This seems pretty open to abuse, players would be trading off their own bases and selling it for higher prices. So their bases make the sales, while they make the profits from selling the commodities at a profit.

The idea doesn't seem very well thought of in terms of checks and balances. It's basically a way of producing credits out of thin air since the faction bases do not have to lose anything to make the profits. Maybe profit a small (5-10%) percent from equipment and reload sales, and nothing from commodities. This may ensure that factioned players buy from their own bases.

If I go and buy something from a trading faction's base and their official faction gets paid for it, the official faction is going to be more active? Have you really thought this through?

Also, this is based on your anti-independant beliefs?

So if buying from faction gives em money, selling to them will take their money right?

and if faction would have no money on their bank account their stations would stop buying goods?

but while it seems ok i dont understand what would factions do with the money, i mean, you say that they would be more active, but how does money make anyone on this server more active once he gets his super bomber?
