Of course, people shouldn't, but they do anyways, and I make damn sure every Outcast in our space know who the IND are, in-RP (yes, it's in-RP, they're very major contributors) and out. As far as I'm concerned you don't pirate somebody who's spreading your drug unless he gives you lip, and I usually just escort them out without having to fire a single shot when they do, (Battleship anybody?) unless the boy REALLY wants us to engage in Partial Inter-house Ransoming And Targeting Incessant but Non-vital Gnomes... people are going to have favoritism no matter what you do and there's no stopping it. Don't whine if it won't change.

Y'know I have oft thought of setting up a char that could be hostile to all my friends traders in a nice Gb to pirate them all. I have hit people I know dleiberately hard, shot off guns etc... Its kinda funny.

But seriously you do have to keep yourself in character... The best roleplay is with people you know and like, and you can chat and laugh about it later. It's ever better if they don't know its you!.

What's funny is even though I have so many unlawful chars, I barely pirate, and I'm never pirated (BLS tag works wonders with pirates, and between Bretonia and Liberty most pirates are grouped in Magellan, not Cortez), so I don't have much opinion aside from: don't go oorp cuz they're your "friend". True friends will RP with you.

I also reward traders with good RP with a discount, those few times I bother to pirate, no matter who they are.
