But they didn't care. They though it was a pewpew event and came to blow up everything with bombers, which was transports and liners mostly. Yes, there were 2 Battleships and some escorts but did you really think they could kill bombers that fast before they killed how many transports? Nothing more to say but that this shouldn't have been bomber fest but Kusari-Bretonia trade meeting with a few pirates around...

In all seriousness though, did you expect differently? We did what Xenos would have. If you don't want external influence in your event, exercise the official faction right to do so. It's there for a reason. We ended up dying in the end anyway.
Honestly, I was referring to both. I've -never- seen Xenos in Cortez for my 3 and a half years of Discovery. Suddenly, they somehow know about the diplomatic meeting that will occur in the said system, and since you were most likely bored, you decided to come in and crash an event which was probably planned for at least a few days, in 10 minutes or so. You could've at least stated in this thread that Xeeners will be attending, as the event creator asked for it nicely.
Anyways, I'm gonna cut this right here and not go further into discussion. This ain't XA feedback thread after all.

One of us checked the event page and there was no requirement to sign up at that time. A mistake was made there I'll admit, but the majority of the salt is from Xenos being Xenos. I stand behind XA in this.
As for my rudeness, it was more frustration. Finally XA gets actual presence and some are just like "xenos being xenos omg no u ruin our rp go away" so I decided to toss it right back.
Oh, and never seeing Xenos in Cortez in-game =/= Xenos not doing anything in Cortez in reality. We have bases nearby in the form of the IMG freeport and Vespucci. You may continue this on our feedback thread if you wish.
So, that's the maker of the event saying we could participate. We were originally informed that we didn't have to sign up, but that changed and we didn't notice. Our bad on that one, sorry to all involved for that.
Now, onto the argument of ganking / ruining the event / et cetera:
This is a trade summit, between two foreign groups, happening not two jumps from Dryden Base. Xenos, being informed about this through [insert RP reason here], decide to deal with it because in their roleplay, they'd really hate these two massive foreign groups having trade talks right outside their door.
Now, onto the argument of "ganking". From my screenshots, I'm estimating about 15-20 transports, snubs, gunboats, et cetera, as well as a battleship and the imperial Yacht. Now, onto the Xeno side, we had three XA- tagged Rocs, an XA- tagged Eagle, and an indie Raven's Talon. If a 5 v 15 is considered a gank, then I sincerely apologize for ruining your day. But if you're going to fly a pure 5k transport in an event where pirates are encouraged to attend, you aggress against the Xenos before they even engage you specifically, and then you get blown up because of that very reason, and THEN you begin to complain on the forums about a supposed "gank" - that's just bad form.
