That has changed a lot, so that PVP for a lot of people is connoted with something negative that is in opposition to roleplay.

I still don't see how trimming the number of NPC's affect roleplay - other than making it a whole lot easier for people to actually roleplay without having to worry that an NPC gunboat patrol will show out of the blue and insta-kill you while typing.

Erase fucking CD from them, problem fucking solved, thank you fucking very much.

No it isn't, I am afraid.

NPC CD won't affect me much when I am roleplaying with another player - it's their guns (and powercores), the way they spawn right next to me and their sheer numbers that is a nuisance.

Sure, I can run away from the NPC but by doing so I turn my back on the roleplay with the other player. Is it really sensible for the game mechanics to promote that?

Then why the fuck you are in the place where you know that caps will appear? Think a bit, will you?

Toris...

There are capital ship patrols in House Space - stay out of house space, you say? Sure, I'll go to T-23, get into roleplay with another player and get attacked by a swarm of IMG snubs. They are everywhere, even a system like New Hampshire (which is supposed to be where RM and LN fight it out) is unfit for player to player interactions of any kind because of NPC swarms.

How about this: Cutting the number of NPC's down dramatically while adding new/more missions so that you can voluntarily spawn buckets of NPC's to fight if you should feel so inclined?

Flying around empty systems because there are no players around? Sure, I'd fucking love it. I'd more rather turn into normal vanilia and fuck Discovery, because it would become a fucking boring place, as players are more concerned about Lolberty and no one cares about Kusari because they are stupid and lazy to try Kusari? Why do you think I dropped a lot of good mods? Because they had no NPCs at all. They were empty! Lifeless! You want to do that? Do it, but then don't count some of players in.

I'm done here.

In that case, i will take the freedom to say goodbye to you then. I agree with Moriarty, NPCs have been a pain in the butt lately with it's annoying spawns. There are just too many of them.
We are no asking them to -remove- them, we're asking for their spawn number to decrease a lil bit, because they ruin EVERYTHING. If you like NPCs so much, Single Player is always open for you.

I find it funny that someone who never got f***** by the NPCs rage quits because we asked to remove -some- of them, and not -all- of them like he assumes.

Toris, try put yourself in our place, and you will see why we dislike to have so many buggers around. Wink

I'm not sure if you can't read or you are... Read it up pal: We just want PvE. It is PAIN to hunt for NPCs with other players when there's >100 player count. NPCs don't even spawn on the most populated by NPCs.

Guess what, nevermind. Just... Nevermind.

Looks like other people countered your four points. My opinion is generally in line with theirs.

Toris if you want to hunt NPCs, go play singleplayer. I hate to sound blunt but multiplayer is for playing against/with other players. NPCs should only be scenery at the very least, however even then they still continue to bug and annoy the majority of the playerbase by not only interfering with PvP, but RP also.

So what if I decide to take my pirate faction character near a lawful base? Am I not allowed to RP how I like? Must I be bogged down by unfair and quite frankly ridiculous game mechanics which should have absolutely zero presence in a multiplayer game?
