Well. Legion, Bundschuh, Council, Red Hessians, Blood Dragons, Sirius Coalition and Kusari Exiles are also military despite having unlawful status.

However, Kusari Exiles has a very interesting status.

Since he's talking about the Roleplaying I wouldn't say the Bundschuh and Red Hessians are Military. The Bundschuh are a ragtag bunch of activists. Their RP is very different from the other factions just listed like the Council or HF. They do not have the extensive hierarchy, the focus on combat and the well organised large fleets.

Red Hessians are different as well in that while they do have the fleet and in case of the official faction a somewhat more military-like hierarchy, their armed struggle with the state is just one of the things they do. Many of their activities are of a more criminal nature like piracy and smuggling and their main war is actually a turf war with fellow criminals: the Corsairs.

Also in general unlawful militaries have a different vibe going on than lawfuls. The lawfuls keep the peace, can move around freely are often protecting things rather than attacking. They are sort of the status quo. Unlawfuls on the other hand are usually more guerilla-like. Sneaking around striking and then retreating again.

Unlawful all the way. It in short allows me to do as I please with complete disregard of someone's "laws". (sun)

Yeah, I agree on this one. Kusari Exiles however, I don't know what about The Council, still fulfill their lawful lines that is protection of traders.

True I suppose. Hellfire does that sometimes as well, but it's still different I'd say. Perhaps not for a faction like the Council due to having some (inRP) well-populated territory of their own.

Also since I'm posting here anyway, my own preference in unlawful, but a very specific type of unlawful at that as well. My main factions are VWA and HF, while they have a very different feel, they are both rebel groups. I am very interested in politics so it's those kind of politically motivated factions that I really enjoy. Propaganda, guerilla warfare, insurrections, internal power struggles, activism, sectarianism. All those different aspects I enjoy very much about political unlawfuls.

I suppose I should try a lawful action again though, roleplaying something that's a bit further away from my own real life line of thought would be more interesting perhaps.

It used to be full lawful, now it's full unlawful.

Unlawful can be every fun, but it's a lot more time demanding. You have few friends amongst the NPC-verse and this can be harrowing. It's also very un-fun to be unlawful in an empty system.

Still, unlawful all the way ;D

Oh?
What do you mean by that?

I don't remember the last time Liberty Navy got ganked. Because of the fact that lawful factions have much more bases to stage from, they can get to battle a lot quicker than unlawfuls, which often have to cruise a long distance before reaching the battlefield.
