now back to religion in factions... Not many people know is the GC has a religion, kind of. We Believe in the goddess: Amaterasu and believe that one day she will guide us towards overthrowing the Kusari Government and that she looks over the GC.
On what you think about that, well thats your choice.

In that state of mind, Gaians should also have a religion, as I said.
' Wrote:I don't mean ALL of them, but it would be normal that such people would have a small religious group....?
I'm not one to step on peoples RP & say "This is just how it's gonna be" but the Gaians come from intellectual origins & I honestly belive that trying to revert back to paganisim would simply hurt their cause & put the Green Front pundits on the defensive in the Bretonian media.
However, since most of the Gaian regulars have lost their true purpose & are just basic corsair-alligned pirates & thieves, then sure, why not have a small crazy nature cult running around?

I've always thought the Gaians were a "Small Crazy Nature Cult". They are not?
Where does their name come from?
What are their intellectual origins?
Their info card is.
The Gaians are a terrorist faction opposed to any alteration to the natural environment of a planet specifically those brought about by terraforming.

Nope. they are eco-terrorists...not a nature cult
Where does their name come from?
From the planet Gaia
What are their intellectual origins?
From the Islay & Skye infocard: A few of the younger and more militant scientists studying in Edinburgh accually went so far as to begin a campaign to sabotage tourist transports in an effort to discourage visits, but with little effect.

The Gaians are a terrorist faction opposed to any alteration to the natural environment of a planet specifically those brought about by terraforming.
Soooo...what here leads you to believe they are a religious cult?
How is that intellectual?
How are scientists not intellectual?
How is that not crazy? I fail to see how artifically accelerating planetary evolution is sane, please explain how it is sane

Bottom line, i believe, is that there should be religioin in discovery, but not everyone should be religious....
I don't think it's off topic at all...we are still talking both about Discovery & religion.
but to humor you, & to clarify what others have already said, there already is some religion in Disco...just not the big 3 They, (imho) have no place in the server
I agree the the majority of real-world religions have no place in Discovery. That would end in flames. No 'Sirius Evangelical Church of Jesus Christ' or neo-Islam or anything like that. But I do think there's room for religion... Just keep it like most fantasy settings, where all the religion is entirely fictional.
