For me this year has been great, I've faced loads of personal challenges in both my home and professional life an have overcome all. There haven't been any major arguments within my family this year (that I can remember). I've made some new friends, some of which aren't doing so well and I plan to dedicate some of my time to helping them in the new year.
This year was kind of nice for me. I've meet a lot of cool people iRL and worked pretty hard. My studies were ok, I've travelled, my health is fine, just as my family's. I can't complain even if I had some issues with my kidneys and heart, though everything worked fine in the end.
My disco's year was very bad. I've been inactive since April , and my PC stopped working correctly so since then I couldn't keep pvp-ing on the level I could. I can still log in time to time and give some nice headache to the Lawfuls and some RP in forums but that's about it.
For the community I can't complain. People tend to be nice and doesnt give problems.
My hopes for the upcoming 2018 are that everyone in here go have a nice new year. Be courageous and take the offers no matter what, so you never know what's happening next! New experiences, new friends, new logs in disco and pls dont delete bombers , thank.
PS: Please stop Ruining Star Wars' saga for god****sake omg .
I don't know.. kinda a bad/good year for me, met few nice people due my work, lost the love my life. Worked a lot studied a lot. Didn't travel at all cuz a german slave doesn't get paid. Health is kinda okay, family is fine too.
Uh my Discovery year.. well nearly got banned, many nice people which I enjoyed to play with left, nearly ruined a faction due my hostile and toxic personality, well yea pvp kinda rusty but still able to beat people here and there. Also met more nice people here on discovery, guess if I will name everyone this will be a long post.
I wish everyone a merry christmas and a happy new year.
This year has been like a literal Sine Wave for me. It had it's high ups , and very low downs.
Music wise, i've managed to be unemployed for a whole year, and still get enough money for food and house bills through gigs. Much have happened on those weekends. So i've been living a very free life.
I also re-joined Discovery from a 1-2 year break i was having from this community.
Then again about 2-3 months ago my parents separated from a very long Marriage, which came as a bit of a shock to me.
This year i managed to spend my savings and buy myself a 2012 Year Kawasaki Z-750 (78kW) , so this toy has brought much joy into my life throughout the Spring and Summer.
However, not just a couple days ago i nearly died, due to leaving the valve between the Chimney and Camina closed, as i woke up to house full of smoke. I'm lucky to be alive honestly, because my wife was not home at the time, so if i would not have waken up, i'd maybe not be here right now.
But in overall, i think this year has been okay. For next year we have set our ambitions higher and we're releasing our very first album, with brand new material inspired from all the experiences we've had as a band
With this, i wish you all Happy Holidays and may the year end peacefully for everybody
I had an amazing time since last September after getting new job for a year. I fixed my Uni problems and can continue to study properly now. Changed my attitude and had been overall more positive person thus meeting a lot of new amazing coworkers/friends. Overall, 2017 has been an amazing year for personal growth and success to me.
Lost my phone in Tenerife with the online tickets and access to a cloud service with 10 years and 6000 euro worth of work, lost my wallet with all my documents and 350 euro cash in Ukraine, the same place where I lost my wallet in Ukraine got blown up by a car bomb a week later(coincidence?), been held in custody at the Polish border because while EU regulations allow 2 sleeves per person, Poland apparently is special and only allows 2 packs per person and had to pay a 100 euro fine per person and got 50 euro worth of Ukrainian cigarettes confiscated, they spoke to us in Polish the entire time so we had no idea what they were saying, only for a scumbag officer to show up after we paid everything to say in clear English that if we had announced we had the cigs before they checked us we wouldn't have had to pay the fine, been unable to continue working due to my back problems, my diet has gone from bad to non-existant, I lost 8 kilograms since october till now because I'm barely eating,
Overall, it's been a punch-me-in-the-face kind of year.
3 good things did happen: I stopped smoking for several months now, got to visit Chernobyl in person and got my hands on a military Soviet era watch (Amphibia Kamandirskaya) which is in pristine state.
My resolutions for 2018 are to get a stable income, save up money, strengthen the ties I have with a few select people that might as-well be a second family and make preparations to finally get ourselves a place to call our own by 2020. (Don't laugh, cost of living and housing is outrageously expensive in over populated countries)
2017 brought mostly good experiences for me. The only big problems Ive had were with losing a ton of games in Dota. Almost like some kind of vodoo magic, no matter my performance, what could go wrong pretty much did and my goals to reach a higher MMR lie squashed like a flat pancake.
Other than that....nothing huge has happened. I am seriously considering my options if I decide to stop playing altogether, what would I do with my free time.

Ye, it' s been a rollercoaster. InRL I lost my corporate job, went stay-at-home-husband, then career limbo and finally back corporate. Core peeps made the time alongside fly. Kudos guys! We've had an awesome year.
