you know why i have a problem with the phantoms?

because this is the second best RP i've ever gotten out of any of them. which is not some thing i would expect from an offcial faction really.

and fighting back wasent any sort of option. i had full mining turrets. and frankly, the only reason i dident run, is because i was willing to give him a chance.

Please look at post #14 and #15 in this topic and rethink your statement and argumentation.
Them arent -that- bad if you would have tried to do more towards a good RP experience.

And yes, continuing mining while being shot at is .... well... ...No mate, that doesnt work.

People tend to automatically go lump the Wild, Phantoms, and Keepers in one group. I had RP with a member of the Wilde tonight - and once he realized that I was RP'ing with him - or at least about the ship with nothing detectable on it ... things got different. In fact, he totally let me go after a few shots, because he realized that I was immune to his *terror** and mind attacks - since my character had no mind for him to interact with. (Gotta love an AI for that one - they can't detect us - we can't communicate with them because telepathy and computers don't mix.)

I wasn't present in this particular incident so I'm not sure of the situation in this case. That is just my experience of being in factions which have the ability to behave in an unorthodox fashion with regards to shooting people up.

The point needs to be made, again, that a faction such as the phantom is going to get flames. In most cases, the majority of players/forumers are going to read the flames, and look with distaste at the flamer, rather than the Phantom.

As has been suggested about RP, flames are also a two way street. They need to be responded to in a specific manner to continue the flaming....a feedback thread could be an excellent place to showcase, to the community rather than to induvidual flamers, that the phantoms are first not so bad as the flamers make them out, and second, better than the flamers as forumgoing induviduals.
