It is a damn game. scamming more than the run is worth is pointless.

There really needs to be some regulation on pirating. And if you did take 4000/5000 cargo, should I carry on with the trade or just die? Obviously dying is the better option, I get to restart the run.

Anyway, many of you have clearny not read my posts, if the pirate blows me up after paying, HOW THE HELL AM i SUPPOSED TO HAVE KNOWN THAT? Oh and also I played diablo 2, nop no scammerz there.

While most pirates are ok and are reasonable people behind the screen, note that there is potential for griefing here. Less so but same with navy. And trust me when I play as navy even though I may fly recklessly I always consider what impact my actions will have on the other player's discovery experience. Smuggle? Make good RP and get out of my sight. I wont KOS. Pirates, get out and I wouldn't repeatedly kill you on your exit.

Think about it this way:
What if Freelancer wasn't a game? What if you were a real transport captain in a real giant monster transport ship getting held up at Gunpoint? What if they told you to drop all your cargo or perish? Would you say 'just kill me' then? Would you just disregard the lives of your crew, your expensive ship and your own life?

No, you wouldn't. This is Discovery ROLEPLAY server. Idiots like you who go 'just kill me' ruin the atmosphere. When I pirated you on my Rogue, you said 'let me just calculate if it's worth less than dying.'
That was a facepalm moment. Moment when your stupidity simply cannot be displayed by any form of verbal or written expression.

This is a roleplaying Server, get used to it or clear off. You're wasting server space.

Yeah, I suggested that earlier as well: Try role-playing on this role-play server. Maybe you'll get used to it some day. Taking all the trader's cargo is perfectly in-RP in many situations (and not doing so can even be stupid in some). Of course not in all of them, most situations would be less harsh, if the pirate is just trying to milk you and not ruin you (in-RP). Yes, some pirates would in-RP try to ruin you. For example Hackers against Liberty Corps.

The original question: Killing a trader after he paid is a no-no.

Uncalled for? My character is a pirate. You fell into my trap. Be glad I lowered my asking price when you asked it. If you think roleplaying on a roleplay server is uncalled for then you're in the wrong place honey.

Once again... it's a roleplaying server. The goal isn't to powertrade as many credits as you can so you can get your big bad battleship and then complain when the pirate bombers blow you up. You wanna stop losing credits? You might find flying a ship that has a countermeasure, and learning to avoid pirates will have serious improvements on your profits. I fly a Firefly and I easily make enough credits to support myself.

Sorry, but I don't like you..I saw your lovely roleplay where every moment you remind people to leave the system for 4 hours.

I don't think you need anymore credits, nope nope, and do Die all the time, ill get even more money for selling your cargo.
