Firefox = EAT UP YOUR RAM!!!! I put Firefox on my desktop, ate about 3/4 of the RAM (400MB). It's no more secure than IE7, and takes longer to startup.

I am a long-absent Supreme Commander, Executive Commander, Grand Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and Captain in the mighty Hellfire Legion. I have returned, and am on an urgent mission from Drake Thastus to return the Legion to its former glory, and to claim the galaxy for its own. Only then will I be able to rest.

For antivirus I use McAfee Enterprise. Absolutely amazing program, no subscription fees, uses very little of your resources. It does however run well over $1000... But hey, it kicks some serious ass!

Then I am guessing you have a very very strong computer. Because McAfee products take up A LOT of resources...

Yea, what world are you living in?

7 out of 10 people now use firefox on their computers and they are 90% more safe then they were before. Firefox is the way to go!!

My desktop sports 1,536MB of RAM. (Yes I bought extra RAM, and it can't support anymore. It's from 2002 for crying out loud!) I use Opera 9.21 for my browser and it seems happy and doesn't choke when I'm playing FL and looking at the forums at the same time. My video comes from a Sapphire ATi Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB (being replaced eventually to a Radeon X1650 Pro I believe, I have to check with my brother again). My firewall is ZoneAlarm, yeah basic but it works. I have nothing useful to steal or delete off of my system, anyways. Plus having a dynamic IP works.:PSo yeah, my system is old but it can still run with some of the newer systems (that is, if they have an AGP graphics card, PCI-Express owns me any day of the week, no matter if it's the lowest model available it would kick my system's butt anyway). Oh by the way, I use AVG Free for my anti-virus (also crap yes, but it works).

Actually this program uses very little system resources. It's not a normal McAfee program. It's a business version designed for covering multiple computers. It has anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, host intrusion prevention and network access control capabilities. Can't beat it.

Wow, I just sounded like a commercial... hmm...

They will take up all of your space. good luck trying to do any graphics or gaming on an average computer after intstalling. yuo might as well not use anything at all, even with the viruses, your computer willl still run faster than with norton.
