"Of course they are endangering Zoners everywhere with their actions. Any time you put a religious fanatic behind a big gun they cause trouble. They don't need those Jinkusus. As I said before, they need to be removed of their command."

Gabriel's comm beeps

"Please excuse me a moment, gentlemen. Felicia wouldn't be contacting me if it wasn't urgent."

....

"Goddammit... Well, now they have decided to stir up trouble with the Core. This is the last straw. I honestly believe that they have pissed off every single group they have encountered. This is going to get to the point where it is going to tarnish the Zoner name everywhere. That's not good for my business, or any of us. So instead of saying that they need to be removed of command, I'll say that they must be removed of it.

I may have the solution. A while back the Enclave told us that they would come to our aid should we ever need it. They have proven to be competent pilots and may be just the right solution to our problem. What do you two think?"

Doc received messages as well and it was evident, he just wanted to explode but, he didn't. Rather, he put his hands in his pockets for a moment and looked skyward, obviously trying to contain himself. With a sigh, he looked to Ferguson and Caudill.

"Gentlemen, I do believe that these ORI's need to be dealt with. If they wish to pick a fight with the Core then may they wallow in their own fate," Doc lectured, "As to Freeport 11, Marvin J. Orphelia is starting to look like a Godsend as compared to these ORI's.....people that I now totally disapprove of."

He then pulled his hands from his pockets and leaned on the table, "I agree with allowing the Enclave to assist. They have always been a friend to us all. I will provide medical facilities for all that need it. In fact, I may be needed there for that reason."

He continued, "Gentlemen, I propose this. I propose we adjourn and return to where we're needed and that we set up a secure channel to keep contact with until we can meet again. In that time, I'll see what I can't do to settle things a bit with the Coalition."

Although he wanted to do it privately and man-to-man, Doc walked over to Ferguson. He was obviously disturbed but the fact that Gabriel was in the room made no difference. He then offered his hand to Ferguson,
"I apologize," he began, "to you and the Omicroners. It's been something I've needed to do for some time. After all that happened with the Omicroners and Corsairs, the hundreds of deaths that I processed from Freeport attacks, I wallowed in my own sorrow, hiding in my lab. Yes, I sent Med Force to help Freeport 9 but the damage had been done. In hind sight, maybe these ORI's are exactly what we needed to get us working together again."

With that, Doc just stood, hand extended, hoping that it would be accepted.

"You can go home now. Your destiny is yet to be decided." Valek watched Mannock without comprehension. "Easy, man, it's not in my hands to decide over you, luckily for you." Almost dragging Mannock led Valek to his ship.

"What do you expect? Fariness after the preformance of the ORI? A warm farewell? I don't like this either - taking the trash out is usually not my job, and be sure we're usually burning the trash on Crete ... by the way, you should receive news soon. I personally wish them to be unpleasant for you"

Mannock pushed Valek gently up the gangway to his ship. "Good luck out there. You are going to need it, huge amounts of it"

Laughting he gave the orders to clear the spacecraft for the launching.

Doc was satisfied. The point of the three Zoner factions was made and the rest could be worked from home. After all, the groups could meet again and in the interim, they could talk by subspace transmission.
Doc had a couple of other stops to make before he returned home. With a smile, he returned to the Ark.

"I take it all went well, Ambassador?" asked Commander Alicia Cook.
"Satisfactory," he replied, "set a course for Zhukovsky Station. I have to go chat with Alvin."
"Yes, Sir," replied Alicia. With that, Doc retired to his chambers for some rest.

The Ark then detached from it's mooring at Freeport XV, went through the jumphole to Theta and disappeared.
