I voted no quite simply this would alienate the people who are not the best in pvp who actually come here for RP all this idea those is enable the best pvpers to make every one else to bend to their will if this does happen I will say that 50-70% of this server would leave.

Remember that this is not posted in the Discovery RP 24/7 server forum but discovery mod discussions...

As I wrote before, the idea isn't stupid, but it can't be forced on the current character database (and will not get support). The implementation would be mostly FLHook, of course. I can imagine that in the future this could be an option available to server operators during installation. But that's rather a minor detail.

But I'd be in favor of some proportional cost that would go to getting the ship back into dock. Say paying 25-30 million to get your BS back up and running some time later (4 hours? couple of days?).

Try take a mission in Alpha, while in a sabre with codies on.... BOOM 6 threshers razor your face... Codies lost. Or the menacing NPC swarms that viciously rape your defenceless trader while your grinding to rebuy that same Sabre with codes on.

Bomber swarm a BS, lose 10's of millions of hard grind. Tad cruel.
I do think the death penalty should be higher - perhaps hull should be on one bar when respawn.
