The pirate: Running away does not make you be considered dead, so him running is actually quite valid, I don't see your point.
The LF against the dread: That's PvP abuse, and the LF could be sanctioned for it, all the dread has to do is screenshot it and post a report.
It DOES seem like you are trying to make the rules work in your favor, which is rather selfish. A PvP interaction does not mean shooting, and I rather like it that way, make for better RP.
I didn't notice you were an admin, valiant. Apologies.
But my point stands. An admin is the one who's going to look at a report and drop the banhammer down. Therefore, an admin is the one you want to hear from for the honest to goodness fact of the matter. If you're an admin, you better understand every little nuance of the rulebook very damn well. Hence you're the authority on the matter.
Admins may be busy, but if someone really wants a straight up answer, they can wait awhile. If the admin was busy today, perhaps they'll answer it tomorrow?
Telling a player to shut up and just go play with the info he's got just irritates me, even when it isn't aimed at me. That's just needless attitude that stirs up flames.

Fact: More veteran players are sometimes better suited to answer questions about rules better than the admins. People who have been around a while know the rules, and better yet, know how the admin team thinks. We don't need to be told exactly what is wrong and what is right, because we have been around long enough to get a feel for what the admin team wants and expects from it's players.
It all goes back to common sense really, granted there are a few rules that are strange, but when you think about it in the way of a dev, you realize it helps promote balance and fair play for everyone.
