/signed what Hoodlum said. There's nothing worse than decision my committee... design a horse and you end up with a camel... but if some veteran/respected people are willing to form a "council" to look at faction proposals, taking the load of Admins, then I'm for it. Step 1: Set yourselves up in Skype...

Wrong, the second-last to know!

Quote:Epyon, is this true then? You felt so vehemently about your position that you needed to reinforce it by posting in mufti?
I've never know Eppy to ever be afraid to express his opinion:PI think it's more a case of he forgot to change logins from his non-de-plume before posting.

Did someone say 'Das Wilde'?

Wow, can you say 'Das Awesome'!?

Oh, no. I didn't forget to change logins at all. Allocutus was originally created as a way to express opinions without having to deal with the stigma associated with our primary personas. That has since evolved into something much different; we try to use Allocutus these days to show what we (the people behind Allocutus's posts) interpret as the majority rule of Discovery's public opinion. I simply write the posts to maintain a consistency. Here, Allocutus posted a piece originally written by one of us who's name I shall not disclose, approved unanimously, and adapted to fit Allocutus' writing style; a bit unusual, as we normally all develop the post together, but it was in no way inflammatory and it was completely unnecessary to expose Allocutus as 'Me', emphasis on the quote-unquote. Now the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, and my night of peaceful trading has come to a rather abrupt and unfortunate end...now that one of our number has been exposed it may be necessary to close the lid on our collective form's coffin, much as it pains me, and I'm sure the others. I'll try not to be too bitter.

In this instance, Allocutus spoke for me, as I believe he has spoken for others.
I feel the need to apologize to Eppyon for his defacement in this thread.
I think if anyone else looks, they'll notice that he also posted his support of the idea.
I'll also thank Kane, and continue to refrain from posting.

Such drama.

I'll call Shakespeare and let him know he has competition.

Either that or I'll say "Say things openly or don't say them at all."

It will probably be the second because Shakespeare is dead, didn't have a phone, and if he did, he wouldn't give me his number.

Seconded.

On Topic: Faction Creation should primarily be an administrative matter. As for the matter of Das Wilde, I think that is solely the concern of the administrators and the Rheinland Military (who are affected by some of it's RP).

I'm tempted to make another forum I.D right now and type '/signed'.

Was that necessary? There was no drama there, Adrian, no attempt at it, even. Any of the original drama was cleared, thankfully. I have simply stated the fact pertaining to Allocutus as I have felt necessary to disclose them. Unseelie has also posted what she feels is pertinent to the issue. Beyond that, I will not continue, because anything further I say will be quickly degenerated into a flamewar.

All right, enough...

Hoodlum, as promised, has taken it directly to to the admin forums, and the future is currently under discussion. Expect a new system by the end of the week. Or, at the very least, a more definite answer.
