' Wrote:Its ok Globalo, whenever the Corsairs do something, it induces slander.
We should be used to it now.
We actually made the system much more flexible than the Outcast "do or die" system, because the two chances aren't simply chances. If you take the time to read in between the lines, you'll find that the Brotherhood and the Omega Pirates Guild will issue guidance, not a simple "register here or be shot".
Also, if you would take the time to become a Corsair for any decent amount of time, you will actually see that the indies here really have much more armour than the factions. But its the flight time that counts.
So, Ill tell you the only TBH cap i've logged on in has been the Artemis. Two other Osiris' joined me. Shock horror. Until you find out we were facing, in two seperate engagements, an Outcast battleship and 5 Outcast destroyers.
I would appreciate it if you would take the time, in future, to back up comments such as yours with "what you would have done differently" or perhaps a view taking into account what Omicron Gamma is really like?
On a side note, the Benitez have three cruisers and two battleships, but I have been informed that due to overlaps, only three out of five of these can be on at the same time. The Brotherhood have one cruiser and two battleships, and I do not know the capital count of the OPG, though they have at least one battleship.
Would you like me to get screenshots of the time that each of the Brotherhood caps has logged?
You seemed to have missed the entire point of my post, and only focused on things about Corsair factions with capships.. Perhaps you should read it again..
And no, this isn't a Corsair bash. Perhaps reading the bit to the Benitez, kudos for not going along with this idea that I am disagreeing with, not your faction choice.
' Wrote:dab, i given you numbers, pleasegive me screens, or give me numbers where you saw for example 3 faction cruisers and 3 indies cruisers online. Or, give me screens where you saw 2-3-5-30 faction dreads and the same number of indies dreads ok ?
and when you read my post, i dont say TBH cruisers or dreads, i count them all together .... and number of them is lower as number of indies praefects that i see in gamma everyday ...
so give me numbers or screens ok ?
and i dont know why we always flame each other ....
If you want screens, I'll give you the screens (1) (2) of the two Corsair Osirises and a Corsair Dreadnaught that fought us in Theta.. There were no other indie battleships on except Skyelius', who was one of the Osirises.
That would be a 2 to 1 ratio there of Faction to Indie. For the cruisers, I don't normally take screenshots of those, just death messages, as my freelancershots folder gets big quickly enough already..
BTW, please don't yell for screens when you present none to back you either..
Its only a flame when you make it one. I'm disagreeing with your choice on the registering issue, not the fact that you are Corsairs.
' Wrote:OK from what I have gotten the issue is over registration and whether or not its a rule, as well as it is a right that is allowed?
Personally I think that sometimes Indies are at fault other times I have seen the faction being at fault for the manner in which they act. However this is here to get you all off my topic that was designed to encourage the creation of page(s) to handle all the rules.
Enjoy.
I apologise for hijacking your thread before.
I dont know how to solve the problem. I think there
are quite a number of issues very closely linked and
are contributing to each other.
The ones I have identified are:
1) Indys refusing to acknowledge that the factions are there, not to control, but to protect.
2) Factions being overbearing.
There are more issues at play here as well.
There is a lot of nonRP from both sides.
I dont know how to change the catch 22 downward spiral
that I think we are on.

@Akum, you've been here a couple of months now, and in that time contributed many positive things to this community. But you know what, now you're starting to turn into a real pratt.
If you knew anything of the problems indie cap whores, pvp whores, pwnz0rs, 1337 hax0rs, and sh*tkickers we've had to put up with in the past, you might not be so charitable. We've had people leave, including admins, because they couldn't put up with the crap any more.
No one hates indies. It's not a "faction v. indie" thing. I play many indie chars myself, and I've never had any problems. The problem is people wanting to fly around in the largest penis substitute they can find, blasting everything in sight like a big fat bully. It ruins the fun of those of us wanting to play peoperly, and ruins the atmosphere of the server as a whole.
Of course they aren't breaking any "rules", per se, so they can't be sanctioned. So the only recourse is to have factions -- made up of players who have, for the most part, proven themselves committed to RP and proper play on this server -- do something about it.
(Not to say factions are completely blameless of course.)
Now Akum stop this one-man crusade, it got old about a week ago.
(ps. Oh and Dab, couldn't resist a dig at TBH could ya?)
ps. Sorry should clarify, I don't lump all indies in the group I just mentioned. Guys like Xing and others show the proper way. I mean just the bad apples.
What if there is no tomorrow. There wasnt one today!
Okay this is from a guy who doesnt fly capships and doesnt belong to any official factions (yet).
Isnt this the same argument you guys had yesterday? And the day before that?
You think either side has even a remote chance of getting their point across to those who disagree after trying this long with the same arguments?
The factions are here. They have been established. The Admins have made them official. They dont seem to be breaking any rules or the Admins would be doing something about it, right?
So the answer seems obvious. If you must fly a capship get your RP in line with the established factions or face the consequences.
Personally if I were an indi-capper that didnt want to RP in line with the official factions, Id avoid them. Space is a big place. Find a new hangout maybe?
Dab, please tell me how many Corsairs have complained about the setup and then tell me all the trouble the Outcasts have had with the way they have done it "role play story register or die" and then do the math.
I cant say Im surprised, its not like you don't take every chance to have a go at the Corsairs is it?.
Akumabito, your just arguing for arguments sake now and your making yourself look like a prize ***.
