i think in RP it makes perfect sense to save your life
ooRP it depends on fight itself. If i have nice balanced fight i dont care if i win or loose, i had my fun and i have no problem to be killed by someone who is obviously better (which is almost everyone) but when i am ganked? who can blame me for running

No, I won't update my account to enable 3rd party hosting!

Damn right, I'd say. The better the player at PvP, the less he welcomes ganks, fleeing from battle and base hugging.

Guess I got that disease too. I blame blodo for it.

So basically you're everything wrong with this server, right?

Great, you missed your blue and you're mad about it.

Go make a blog.

half the time when I play I lol like hell. So, no, I'm not. Not that I care about it, really, but I just don't see the reasoning to waste time and go dock mid-fight.

I mean, when I obviously lose a fight, or have to go, I usually sit still and die off. Quicker that way and less costly than repairs.

I geniuely was interested as to why people prefer to dock mid-fight instead of die and "give a blue"

I guess I've got my answer.

Also, thank you I am charmed.

Lemme put it this way.

They don't want to give you the satisfaction. ESPECIALLY if they know they have a bounty on them.

Why would I ever let you get something that you want, if you're my enemy ingame?

I'm going to speed dock and giggle in /s a few times just for you.

I haven't talked about bounty hunting... but okay?

Also the fact I am probably the laziest bounty hunter in the server, whenever there is a chance to not claim the bounty I go for it. Examples are kills when I fight in a group and there's no specific name as the killer, even if it was me.

And... okay?

To me there is no difference if I am attacked and killed by someone who is 10 times as skilled as me, or if I am attacked and killed by 10 people who are as skilled as me.

The real unfair/rude thing is to come up to someone who isnt bothering anyone, kill them without leaving them a chance, making them leave the system/game, and then try to make them feel even worse through taunting and bragging.

If you do that, there is absolutely no difference if you do it alone or with your gang, or with a bigger ship. It's just as rude (and also as pathetic, in my opinion).

Not really, in my experience. Here skill at PvP is just proportional to skill at being subtle and hiding or justifying your own ganking, fleeing, and base hugging. Both require training.

A lot of people within this Game don't spend hours perfecting their PvP skills unlike a some others.

Most people probably enjoy a fight when they feel they have a chance against the opponent. Whether this one on one or in a mass dogfight.

When, for instance, it is GRN Officials (a large proportion of PvPers) with a mix of Reavers (all PvPers) vs BAF (maybe a couple of part time PvPers) have a snub fight, it generally goes along the lines of total wipeout of BAF Forces with no losses to GRN (occasionally GRN may lose 1). When this happens everytime it becomes no fun for the losers as it is preordained.

What do you expect from the non-professional PvPers when this happens all the time? Yes, the expert PvPers 'fun' is ruined, seemingly, when somebody docks, but there again, maybe the opponent's 'fun' has been spoilt in a no-win situation for the nth time.

In real life, if you see all your side wiped out with little or no damage to the opposing side then 'discretion is the better part of valour' is generally a good idea.

Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person

I find this quite the moot reason.

I've been in [KNF] and got my behinds wiped plenty of times by ]bd[ in all sorts of fights. Never stopped me from entering more of them.

I also find behavior like this discouraging for said "PvPwhores" to join such factions, who just leave at the glimpse of a fight.

That's at least for the ooRP side of it.
