Hmmmm... Something doesn't add up, mind me. If I can smuggle as a vessel that can go everywhere (Freelancer, 3600 ship) with that cargo 6000 for each unit, I don't see these, what was that, 60 million per run. Just roughly a bit over 20 million.

Also, you missed one point. Trade isn't a choice. Trade is obligatory for even thinking about playing this game. That's the main problem.

Quote:So just because you dont like to trade you assume that everyone else doesnt like to trade and think it is boring?

He never stated anytghing like that. And I do not think you get the idea of this guy. You don't have a single idea what we both are trying to point out. Trading is obligatory. Not an option, because there's no alternative. There's no option to ignore trading completely and create a character from his own (which is, no magically appearing money from Zoner trader for a Junker/Nomad/Order/LSF/Core/whatever character) credits he earned in roleplay.

If e.g. Kusari Police character got an option to, e.g. earn 5-7 million credits for every 30 minutes spend in game, as activity on this exact character was rewarded - I wouldn't mind whole thing.*

*Yes, I took into account people would just leave their ship AFK, but believe me - checking if player is away or +50K over the plane is pretty easy for admins, if one would grew suspicious about X player not moving from Y system for, like, three hours.

I stated 60+ before you stated no ores
I stated then 20 mill as a minimim and you got that
I also stated it is a RUN which means a full loop. No one ever trades in one direction unless it's done on purpose.

alrighty then.
Lets just give everyone 20 billion credits on restart and see how fast the server dies.

"Everyone else."
Alright, cool. You gonna shove more words down my throat or can you stop violating my personal space?

I'm pretty sure that not absolutely everyone on this planet that ever played/will play this game adores the living daylights out of trading. But you seem to think so. Oh well.

Communicating with you is harder than jerking off a brick wall.

I like the idea. A cost should be incurred when a player chooses to avoid interaction with others. Either a cost in time, if they choose to smuggle/trade above plane, or a cost in credits if they choose to cloak. You want a greater chance of getting your cargo to its destination, or you simply want to go for a tactical advantage of getting away from someone? Great! You may do so, for a moderate fee.

Uh...?
So players with huge bank balances get to prowl around and avoid interaction, but new players or those without many credits are thrown to the rich cloaking space wolves? And we are supposed to grow our population like this?
No thank you.

That's one way of looking at it. From my experience, it's the silent, non-RP players that have the biggest bank.

I have a quite different point of view. This way, we are teaching new/more players how to powertrade in the wild hours, because everything is expensive AF. Ironically, instead of providing additional income for pirates from more traders, it makes potential targets not to log at the same time as pirates.

Don't get me wrong, Garret. Moneysinks should be an option - not obligatory. There's a difference between cloak owner, who sits on billions - and cloak owner, who doesn't trade much and finally got a cloak.

But, there's a solution for non-RP silent traders. No reply for 30 seconds? It becomes blue. The situation repeats? File a report against such a player for rules violation. If admin cathes it? Bastille and fine.

I agree with everything inside both of these quote boxes.

Compared to:
