You will find yourself with few allies on this topic.

You say that the trader shouldn't play a trader if he doesn't like being defenseless? Have you tried funding a ship with only missions? I don't mean a capital ship - even a bomber or fighter. Now let's remove the high-paying missions in the Omicrons, since almost no one has missions that good.

Make a bomber doing missions worth 50k each. Just like you expect people in Bretonia to do. 10k each, for Liberty.

EDIT: It's for your own good, too. You know what'll happen if you keep taking that attitude against traders and enemies? They'll log out whenever ESS is around instead of needing to deal with you. Or they'll silently die rather than pay you. Other factions and individuals have had that issue in the past and continue to now. And those negative reputations don't go away quickly. Or, in some cases, ever.

Wow, a fellow Virginian. What city you stay in Thexare?

Anywho, I mean if they really want to log everytime they see us I can't help that. Pirating traders is not the -only- facet of our role play. As for the mission aspect of funding your characters, yeah I've done that quite a bit in the past. As for the missions being cheap outside of the unfriendlier regions of Sirius, I didn't know this server was that unbalanced. Maybe the Admins should fix that, it's not my problem. In the interest of being able to pay a Pirate money for being Pirated.. If the Navy and Police did their jobs in those House Systems that these people are trading in because their missions don't give them cash they want it would be a lot harder my friend. I've personally watched people outside of my own clan sit there in New York of all places, the busiest system on the server more than likely, pirate people all night unchallenged. If it's a manpower problem, maybe they should recruit more? If it's a RP problem, why are there official Liberty Navy and Liberty Police if they aren't doing their job, which is to role play the safety and security of the zones in question?

We can all sit here and exchange different viewpoints all day long about things like this til we are blue in the face. It doesn't change much I don't think. Everyone has a different opinion and a different way they see things. And I don't think that by killing a trader once for not paying us, or not being able to, is going to make them all run like children with an axe murderer behind them.

Remember, my characters are Pirates, not Saints. And I'm done with that topic. If you want me to play the friendly pirate, it ain't happening.

The Keepers were under friendly but either way, change made to Neutral instead of Friendly.

Also fixed some alphabetical order issues on the alignment sheet.

Also fixed color issue on ZAS~

Do you think its easy for the lawfuls to do their jobs properly when almost every single pirate come to liberty with GB/GS. I am in the LPI, WE roleplay. If our goal was just to kill pirates we would all have GBs and we would kill you again and again and again.
We can't be ingame 24/7 you know.
Like the other guy said, having this attitude will not get you friends.

I have a little suggestion for you, try the LPI challenge. You will see its tough to do our jobs.

Woodstock. Nearest ones you might've heard of are Winchester and Harrisonburg, I'm basically right between them.

The admins can't, that's up to the devs - and who knows how long it'll be before 4.86?

It's not "once", and it's not "killing them for not paying" that concerns me. It's the fact that you adamantly refuse to adhere to any form of fair play that will have that effect.

It's possible to roleplay a complete bastard without making other players hate you. Just ask the Buccaneers.

Judging from your attitude here, you don't care if anyone else has any fun, as long as you hold to your own vision of perfect RP. I sincerely hope (and doubt) that I'm wrong on that.

Manpower problem then. Recruit & Beat the pirates into submission and out of your space! Or don't complain about how hard your job is. I'm sure if you had more people to police the area, it would be 1 safer and 2 easier on you. What do police forces and military do when they see they aren't being effective? 1 They improve their tactics and how they use their power, and 2 they recruit more people into their ranks because everyone knows more people equals quite simplistically more manpower to carry out the mission at hand. So don't try to argue that with me. Either step your game up or recruit more people to help.

I don't see what the big deal is really. We are fair. We don't kill people who pay us. And that -single- incident of killing that trader because he didn't have funds to pay us was a single incident as far as I know. I wasn't there so I can't be sure. Either way, it is a trait of a pirate to be a murderer. Ever heard of walking the plank? And I'm -sure- that trader could have offered up something, any kind of funds. I've rarely seen any trader with 0 credits. I'm sure he also had cargo, he could have dropped a portion of it as collateral. We are not a group of people who are not willing to negociate, and as I said before we don't really go around killing traders who have nothing to offer us.

P.S. As for you challenge, I don't double clan like some people do.

You...

Wait, you think I'm a lawful, don't you?

Look up Emilio Santini.

But, whatever. I'll just keep my concerns to the Council of Ministers chat from now on, as you've made it clear that you're not going to listen.

Thexare my friend,

I'm out in Norfolk.

We do engage in fair play my friend. What I don't want to get in the mix of is having to make everyone happy. My point is no matter what you do everyone will think something is unfair at some point. You and me were given two M&M's to share, well mine is bigger than yours.. What happens then? Not everything is always fair and I'm not going to sit here and cater to everyone. BUT I will however give people chances and I do try to the best of my ability not to outweight people in situations in the game, especially when I know I have a huge advantage over them. Ya know we could simply send down 8 fighters and 2 gunships at once to liberty to sit there and pirate the living hell out of every trader that passes through say Texas. But it's not going to happen. It's not fair. We don't do things that are overly unfair towards players and that is the point. I'm sorry that fellow was mad cause someone or him got killed because they wouldn't bother to cough up any money. And sometimes that just happens. You piss off a robber, you get stuck with the Glock. I personally don't see how we are not fair. We do a lot of things in fairness. We don't even go down to Liberty daily and pirate.

I do want others to have fun. I sincerely do. I just don't do well when people whine and complain. It really hurts my ears when people start making excuses. Shows me they have no personal character, no backbone. Take the shots as they come at you!

And no, that post was posted before I even saw your post. That was towards the person before your post my friend.

And as for your comment on that.. I am listening, I'm just not taking your opinion and ditching my own. I am a Man and as a Man I make my own opinions and have my own views. I'm sorry if I don't simply break down and praise you for your view or whatever it is you believe I should do. I am my own person and I believe what it is I believe. I do want people to have fun and we are fair when we play.
