Brilliant idea though not exactly the first time it was brought up, of course more expensive ships like trade and cap ships will need a truly epic buff for this to be reasonable. No more 2 bombers killing a battleship but a group of 10 at least to stand a chance.

Also the idea that a ship that died is stuck in dock for repairs for a while sounds great.

Such a server certainly wouldn't be a place for weaklings. :)Wimps would no doubt have to go back where they could enjoy their notion of invincibility and pretense that they and their virtual property are eternal...

Err... I mean, different people are entertained by different things. And even then, folks would switch between normal and hardcore servers on occasion. Or so I'd think.

Not only no,but HELL NO.
You think the pirate gank squads are bad NOW ?.....implement this and you won't fina ANY lawfuls,traders,miners,etc on the server any more.:nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono:

that what i was going to say..


i know want you mean about death meaning nothing but losing ships is not the answer

i think maybe when you die lose 5-10% for the ship value (IE barge sells for 500 mill so if you die you lose
25-50 mil

Im back baby! may even start CODEYs again but will have to see how Bases affect that who know maybe i will save for a base Smile

I'm playing here to have fun with my ships.
I'm not playing here to make new ships all time.

Even though I fly mostly snubs and then half of it is Light fighters.
I just say no, no, no, nononononono, nononononono! to this idea.

For too many obvious and stated reasons. Even if it was just for fighters, code weapons and valuable equipment would go down the drain. No
