[OOC] I'll probably join you before too long... I was saving up to start my own junker council sort of faction, with more of a corporate board-of-directors style, before seeing this thread. This faction is perfect, or at least it looks like it so far. Would you mind a salvaged corsair cruiser (to actually be used for mining) in your midst once I finish getting the required funds? I've noticed lots of "Omgz salvaged ships flown by junkers is oorp"-type posts here... I understand that mining ships are for mining and salvaging, yadda yadda, but even us junkers want to look cool while doing it. I'll post an in-RP application or pledge of support at a later date. Hi--welcome. Thanks for the nice comments. For the record too, any Junker with their own faction can still participate with the Congress as a voting member. "Tagged" members of the Congress are those IDing themselves in RP as members of the "Junker Guard Party" which serve merely as the administrators of the Junker Congress. Other Junker groups in the Congress are considered the same as a political party in the Congress of a nation. The Labor Party in England's parliament or the Republican party in America's congress for example.

I just got back from a 14 day vacation so I have been incommunicado since then.

I actually don't have a problem with a Junker in a Corsair cruiser as long as its RPed well and certainly have no problem with a transitory char in one. I know people react to this sort of statement but there are valid reasons a Junker could be in a Corsair ship. Players simply have to justify their choice by demonstrating its validity in RP.

We don't aim to make all Junkers "fly what we say" though we will have strong suggestions to "full on" Junker Congress members (as opposed to those merely participating with us) but I hope we can be open to ideas.

I have a solid (and covert RP) for serious Junkers who want to be full members of the Congress--but those details will be off the public boards. For the record, they do not involve taking over Sirius or declaring war on all other factions or placing all Junkers in cap ships. It's an RP angle for play in the Congress so those players can have a purpose bigger than flying around saying. "Look--I have a tag now!".

Yes--trying to simplify it--we will simply keep a list of junkers who request to be onboard but maintain independent affiliations. Easier for all and no conflict.

This post will be paragraphed a little better (I hope) and then it's off to actual proposal
