However, I understand the worries about making a group obsolete, too. Quite the conundrum.
Bretonians, as a whole are plenty up to a lively political debate. The Queen, on the other hand, has decided that she's not interested in governmental opposition and has made the entire populist party illegal. In fact, she sent soldiers into Parliament to apprehend Populist party members.

I'm not trying to be argumentative; just trying to understand.
Hmmm.
Maybe the MOD and new Fleet Admiral are staunch Royalists, and consequently, behind the scenes, the Crown is still running the show.
' Wrote:I've got the Sovereign (former KGL flagship) tagged as [QCG]Sovereign. Should I rename it. If so, what should the new name be? The QCG stood for Queen Carina's Government, and I named it that way at Unselie's request, assuming something was going to happen with that. We were building up Mountbattens story in it's thread (http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18199), but never actually got him out of prison and back on his ship. We had talked a little about making Mountbatten the new Duke of Harris, but never actually did anything with it, so his future is still open. I'd like to participate in some manner, but I've got no real idea of which direction to move in.
Any idea where I should go with this, Dieter?
=====EDIT=====
Also, I've got to agree with Trev. Federalist RP sort of depends on a hardline response from the current government, and softening that up a bit makes things a little more difficult.
So many people in jail. You, Blunt, Athenian...
Want you involved, with the Sovereign and Mountbatten, just don't know how yet.
MOD pardons him maybe?
And I'll make the MOD and Fleet Admiral hardline Royalists. Keeps Trevelyan's plans intact.

Sounds good to me. Just keep me posted.
The Queen already pardoned him, and everyone who sided with him, so there's no need to RP a pardon from the MoD. He's just waiting to see what happens next.

Lets do it that way then.
That would be great, Dieter. And we can certainly cooperate for some good RP.
So you know, Kuraine was RP-ing Prime Minister Worthington, sort of a puppet PM with Carina pulling the strings. Shouldn't be difficulty to do a MOD in his government.
Right, I'm back!!! All married and honeymooned and everything. :yahoo:
And it looks like I've missed a lot!!
First off, it's damned good to see that you're back with the Bretonians, Dieter. Welcome back my friend.
Second, no problems from my end on renaming the faction. {BAF}, {BAF-F}, {BAF-P} are how Id like to see it go.

This is true, I have havent I!!!
Never the less, as far as Fortunatuss RP is concerned he had the position of Commodore dumped upon him from a great height. Never wanted the role, resents the responsibility, hates the admiralty brass, is annoyed that Andrew Stuart left him in the situation and cant wait to foist the entire poison chalice back to him at the earliest opportunity, as soon as we can get him out of the clink!! Hes always believed that the imprisonment of Comm. Stuart was one of the biggest mistakes that the Admiralty made.
So, its all yours Commodore Stuart. Fortunatus would be happy to resume his role as a Lieutenant if it means he can get rid of the command shackles that bind him.
So yes, a break out is in order.
' Wrote:Perhaps there might be an opportunity to revive the Special Operations Executive to carry out acts of sabotage behind enemy lines.
And will someone please get Brinkley out of this damn prisoner of war camp. The smell is unbearable.
And a break out is in order here as well. Brinkley has been missed around Bret space.
Its most unfortunate that we can't simply add an item to represent a letter of marque so as to eliminate the need for multiple prefixes. Oh well, count me in!
Aaah, interesting, i've been a part of QCP before, perhaps I would return to BAF, how would one attain that luxurious gunboat?
