I don't think you understand the concept of a Guild properly. Are you saying that the GMG and IMG player factions are the only members of those factions, and the rest should just use trader / miner ids?

The Bounty Hunters Guild is made up of independent hunters. Some group together to form organisations like the S/D. The S/D do not represent the whole Guild, and I don't think we'll see any proposals which claim whole ownership of the npc faction.

A Guild is a professional fraternity/sorority. Click the link for a definition. But basically yes ... they are expected to act within standards set by the guild. While they may be independents ... they are still required to participate as a group ... specifically that they share common goals as well as their pay. Like it or not ... Bounty Hunters belong to a guild. Same with GMG and IMG. They are guilded ... that means they need to uphold the standards of their guild.

And that is why I never play a Bounty Hunter because I disagree with that rule and have from day one. Anyway, back to the discussion.

Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.

that`s strange...

that happens to me a lot in my Virage/GS; it`s usually corsairs doing just that...

and hunters doing unlawfull work? that would be rather dumb wouldn`t it? unlawfulls hate hunters. if hunters start doing unlawfull jobs the lawfulls will hate them as well. I don`t think pissing off entire Sirius at you is a very wise or economically smart move

The money is in the Houses and lawful Corporations. They want people dead, they have the funds to make it worth killing them.

I get "enagaging" a lot in my Manta, too. Lots of Corsairs in lunchboxes and larger, especially in Delta. That and the constant "u ran away after i fired cd now leave sys" rule lawyering attempts.

I guess I should start filing more sanction reports, there's a lot of players who play through themselves rather than their characters, and they're generally unpleasant to deal with. Attempts to straighten them out in private just gets me "u red u die" type of ranting.

no I do not, I see more and more people popping up in bombers and fighters (and I actually liked the destroyers, being an easy target for my bombers(other chars of course))

To be quite honest... I haven't seen a battlecruiser in some time. Only Battleship I'm seeing on a regular basis is the Aeria_Gloris, and the only reason I see so much of it is that it's constantly claiming bounties on -- get this -- pirate capital ships. If you ask me, there are more unlawfuls that do that than anything else.

Take the beam out of your eye, please, before looking at the straw in mine. That being said, maybe a "BHG rant" thread should be made, wherein the BHG rant about pirates who are either hypocrites or just plain idiots. How'd that work?

I'll chime in a simple truth.

Everybody likes to win and those who are in this game only for winning use a very simple method.

They check the server player list, the ship type and location and either amass an overwhelming force or use a total over-kill ship for a job.

And this is the root cause for many, many whining threads.

Everybody likes to stack the odds to their favor, but some of the people having a deeper understanding restrict themselves from going to the overkill. I don't mind Corsairs flying GBs, BHG flying Caps or things like that. What I have sometimes problems with is how sometimes people use them.

Flying under radar.

The Aeria is my chara, and yes. I use it quite regulary. but only to repel the hordes of unlawfull caps that roam the omi`s. in fact, I`ve seen very few hunter caps in the Omi`s lately.

the ones I do see, ships like the Mourningstar (dessie) and Sangraal (BS) all rp very nicely and do not open fire on anything smaller than a cruiser.

so please, drop the stereotype. it`s outadated.
