Yeh, Council is more sensible for Aki.

Galic Government is just a way for her to be stabbed in the back.

I'm just a freelancer, but here is my two cents - go with the GRN:
1. Joining the Council puts you at a serious disadvantage if the GRN decides that it's time to take control of Languedoc and Champagne. If the GRN does have the largest naval force in all of Sirius, then it can't be too long before this happens.
2. The size of the GRN is relatively unknown. This means that there will be plenty of adventure to be found and space to explore.
3. The four other houses are fighting amongst one another. The GRN can wait until all of them are sufficiently weakened and then clean up the mess.
4. The GRN isn't likely to be defeated any time soon. Better to join them now when they could use your information than later when they are even stronger and might look down on you. Also, if they feel that you have contributed to their success, they are more likely to see you as a valuable asset.

You know, Aki could always chill out on her own in Omicron Iota, why?

-She has the crew, she can always get the crew disguised and get to go to Baltimore and get a little something called a REPAIR SHIP

-Her crew can also go get the MOX and h fuel and what not

-In the event you are understaffed, just hire a bunch of mercs to go get the repair ships for you

-In the event you run out of money, you can always sneek yourself into Pennsylvanilla and mine helium, or go into some gas mines and, well, just mine around. Sure it'll take you forever to get the money, but at least your ship will be self sufficient.

You know, I've been reading through all of this and am surprised that no-one has yet mentioned Bretonia.

Ok, we're in a war with Kusari, so that is a drain on our resources, but we also are starting to suffer from an influx of nomads and wilde.

The Keepers are becoming a regular sight within Leeds, there's the Nomad city in Newcastle, and something is going on in Chester. In spite of the war, there is no way the Bret government is going to be ignoring the threat posed by the nomads/keepers/wilde, and Aki would offer a vast wealth of knowledge that could be put to very good use. As fas as I'm aware, there is no out and out hostility between the Bretonian government and Aki (or the order), but it's probably best to get that viewpoint from LeMaitre.

But, if you're set on Gallia, then the Council is the only really viable option. The Gallic government would just interrogate you til they get what they want, reverse engineer your ship, and kill or imprison you and your crew, from what I can gather from the info avaiable on them. The Council, at the very least, will want to get their hands on the data about Sirius that you will have.

The IMG might give you a home, I'd have to discuss it with Niezck though...

And if you get really bored, you could turn terrorist and join Salazar in the Taus...

Without any doubt is Liberty everything but a bastion of freedom (well, at least it is compared to Rheinland >_>). But that does not mean they are all black and white. I'm quite sure they would be interested in any Order defectors they can get, and if these would play their cards right, they certainly also could cut out a deal beneficial to them.

As a member of the GRN player faction, I can approve what has been said about Gallia already. In-RP, the royalists already dislike the non-Gallic Junkers, but accept them because they have been proven themselves to be loyal to their cause. There's no way they would harbor a foreigner. Sure, they'd probably pretend to give you shelter, but only until they know everything they want to, then, they just execute you and be done with it.

The Council is more likely to accept you, but I don't think it's a good decision for you in-RP. They'd likely take away your ship (their technology is outdated, they need new stuff to keep up the fight against the royalists), and even though they are semi-friendly with foreigners, you'd still be likely to be stabbed into the back. And when the GRN finally wins over them and starts to invade the rest of Sirius, well...

For me, good factions to join would be the Junkers, Liberty (LSF, Navy...dunno, but maybe think about Turkish's offer, his player group sounds quite promising from what he told me), and maybe Bretonia (I don't know how their relations with the Order are; I'd ask LeMaitre about it).

Another option would be to go independent. Station your carrier somewhere inside some sensor-range-reducing cloud and use it as a mobile base. Sure, you won't use your carrier for combat quite frequently anymore, but you'd have a home for the fighter's you'd be using to roam Sirius. You could keep it supplied by buying a repair ship which your crew could fly. To satisfy the game mechanics, just dock on FPs for repairs etc.

hmm this is a really tough spot you put your character in, not many options left. as long as you dont have a shipyard you can dock at for repairs i think the hideout in a nebula proposal is your best choice. fly around in one of your fighters or bombers that are stationed on your carrier, this way you can try to make contact with possible allies in game without showing up in huge beast of ship on someones doorstep that might just scare them to hell and trigger a firefight before even talking.

for the immediate supply of the crew i would suggest bringing in another character that has sympathies and is willing to help you because of history way back. perhaps a zoner transport captain you might have saved from nommies in the past and now helps you out in a tough spot by bringing you the needed supplies to your hideout. this wouldnt solve your ship damage and maintenance problems but at least you and your crew would have a way to survive while they sit still and search for a shipyard. i think this makes sense as its not really realistic that one leaves one faction and just like that makes friends with a new faction and get access to all their ressources, such things take time. additionally you would need to find someone that is willing to rp this out with you, but im sure you would find someone.

as for the factions aki might try to get into contact with the rheinland unlawfuls seem like the best choice to me. even if the unioners dont have a shipyard thats laid out for the ships the size of the carrrier they are shipyard workers and do have the ability for unconventional solutions, they wont be able to put the ship back to a hundred per cent but it will still be better than no repairs at all.

well, sorry for that wall of text but i got into typing and couldnt stop

Liberty is NOT an option for Aki.

Liberty is not only transforming itself from the inside into a totalitarian dictatorship, most of the senators and congressmen would think of their people first before of power, and then there's still former President Jacobi's reformist party, which has quite a bit of influence within the government.

The point is, Liberty would not release a statement saying that there's a new type of PTSD called 'Space Madness'. It's just an excuse to spy on their populations and military for any anti-government people.

ALL THIS SHOWS THAT THE LIBERTY GOVERNMENT IS INFECTED WITH NOMADS. FULL STOP.

Aki however could try and setup her own faction to fight the Liberty government called Liberty Resistance Movement or whatever she wants to call it, it would make sense considering Liberty gov is nomad controlled, therefore by going up against the Liberty gov, she would be accomplishing her mission, get rid of Nomads.

But then again, the It would cost her quite a bit, after all, they wouldn't exactly have a base to operate from (unless she decides to transform the carrier into a base itself like the Battleship Missouri). But she would have allies, since the order AND Liberty gov would want her dead, hackers and Rogues would probably befriend her, but then again she does have that bounty.

I'd still stick to my old post, get your crew or hire a few mercs to steal some repair ships and supplies from Baltimore.

if would allow you to get the supplys you need edit

ironicly this is sorta what i had planeed to do with my LABC(but repping it wpould be impossable) lets just say jims '' saw the light'' so to speak (and no not the infection one) tho he would probly try to study a few nomads as hes facanated by them
