I only use one more on my gunboats than i used to use in the last mod anyway but the other day i took a battlecruiser out pretty easily, im a ok GB pilot though but being able to shoot those 3 longer does make a difference.

They were changed thusly:

7k energy consumption

1250 hull damage per shot rather than 1780

Not sure if that'll do it, because that's still twice as powerful as any custom turret, and still half the energy consumption of before. I guess we'll see...

SORRY... they were changed... just not the way I thought they would be.... I didn't really know what damage they did before....

So they were
1700 damage, 14k energy in 4.83
1700 damage, 7k energy in beta 4


now 1250 damage, 7k energy


That still makes them very deadly against fighters/bombers I'd say... and on the Lane Hacker gunship..... still a bit too much I think.

I would have said 1250 damage, 9k or 10k energy.


Ive not tested them yet so im not sure how good they still are.


I would never mount more than 3 anyway, just seems abit lame.

cerbs were best in 4.83. much bigger energy drain and damage as they make.

yeah, well as i tested i see cerbs do 1250 as mentioned and 7k drain, but costum turrets does 500-600 and 1200-2000 drain
i think costum turrets damage should be incresed to 700-800, drain bout 3k


i agree cerbs was best in 4.83 high damage = high drian

not here

the outcast gb turret does 850 damage and 1000 drain.:crazy:

Sure, these Cerbs hit pretty hard when on the receiving end. Being a GB pilot myself, I've got 2 of them and planning on adding a 3rd to my load out. This weapon shouldn't make you scream to "nerf it." You should be thinking about how to defeat your opponent who equips themselves so effectively. So, change your guns, configuration, or tactics to combat this new threat. I know that the Disco players are the smartest and most talented in the Freelancer universe. For right now, before and if things change in the next mod, overcome and adapt. Good luck
