As an indie who is not a fan of the way the RM attempts to restrict indies on the server I do not support Dieter as head of Bretonia.

The HMS Churchill will continue to patrol Bretonia as an indie.

I don't believe we were discussing Dieter as "head of Bretonia"; no one should have that designation as a player.

He is, however, head of the Bretonian house military player faction. If he RP's other characters in government, that's fine, too.

But as you can see from this thread, we make decisions together.

The way the RM (and other factions to a lesser degree) look at it, they are the rulers of their houses across the board, inside and outside of their factions, and there is no room for indies there from what I can tell. I've seen the RM hassle and threaten a properly equipped and tagged Rhiendland indie who was in a fighter, for instance.

I don't want to see that in Bretonia, and I cannot endorse or accept as a leader anyone who espouses that kind of server behavior.

As far as making decisions "together", that still excludes the indies who play on the server and don't bother with the forums, and it's still a couple people making decisions that they try to enforce, right or wrong, on people outside their faction.

As I've said before, I think the game extends into the forums, and those who ignore the forums only see half the Disco universe (though arguably the more important half).

Reviewing this thread, what I saw was relations being worked out within one major player faction, and between that faction and another player group/potential future faction. I don't sense a player regime forming, or I would resist it, too.

If indies have concerns here, then by all means, post them. I would certainly listen.

I am in RM, but have never been a big policy-maker there. So please don't conclude there will be a problem with your indie HMS Churchill. I don't have a problem.

Look a few posts back. I welcome indies, as does MarvinCZ.

Please don't bring a debate to this thread about a problem that doesn't exist.
