I wouldnt make sense for example to have a pvp fight where you win but then the winner D/C, comes back, and then dies becasue he can be re-engaged.

"leaving the game" Means you are no longer playing. It , to my understanding, does not mean a quick disconnect and return equals you being able to come back and kill him off if you'd like.

Quote:3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place or re-engage the attacker(s) for 2 hours from the time of their destruction, or until this/these ship(s) leave(s) the game.
Quote:(...) leave(s) the game.

There was a green on the forums regarding this matter. But it got wiped out alongside with forum rollback. What I wrote is completely legit, so if you don't believe me - ask admins. It left the game, there's no big philosophy behind it.

Either a cost in time, if they choose to smuggle/trade above plane, or a cost in credits if they choose to cloak. You want a greater chance of getting your cargo to its destination, or you simply want to go for a tactical advantage of getting away from someone? Great! You may do so, for a moderate fee.

But isn't the moderate fee covered by paying for the cloak in the first place its not like they are as cheap as most armour. Plus there is people who use their cloaks in order to RP with people eg. I use my cloaks to get through Jump gates without taking damage or past hostile stations in order to be able to RP with someone. If the price of cloak batteries went to far up that would just mean I sell my cloaks and have less people to RP with.

Realises that the equipment that they want is hugely expensive. More credit grind hours. Player still hasn't had fun or tasted any form of victory yet.

Meanwhile rich players are the ones having all the fun with thier cloak piracy etc. Disco population stagnates, and also has the look of a pyramid scheme. There is a problem here, even if people refuse to see it.
Even while trading you can have fun some of the best RP i've had has been on my transports. I'm sorry if I'm missing something but how is cloaked piracy that different to normal piracy? You still have to uncloak if you intend on firing and its not like snubs stay cloaked for long enough to extort credits anyway.

I think if everyone used their cloaks to look for opportunities to RP with others, this thread wouldn't exist.

Realises that the game is a credit grind, or will be at least for the first few hours. Ok, some people will handle that.
Realises that players keep mentioning rules, better spend some time checking that out.
Realises that when they lose an encounter they also lose 2 hours of play time, unless they agree to make the rich richer (piracy).

Rich players are just older players who already went through all these steps poor new players are just about to begin. The only disadvantages new players have is their lack of time spent in-game in the past to earn their wealth, they however have all the advantages the current system got better than previous incarnations through improvement, stuff like restarts, new ships, routes, bases, commodity buffs, a lot of things older players didn't have when they were new.
