I think Tanks would be gunboats not battleships.

Hmmm good point. How bout a cargo container ship and a cruiser? I think they actually displace more then a BS by a long shot.

I don't talk down to anyone about the military. Just showing that I know what I am talking about. Take a deep breath, now let it out.

What MOS?

My apologies Gronath if I am coming across harsh. I understand all the work you are putting in and all that goes along with trying to make everyone happy. Near impossible. My tone comes from the new mentality i have been seeing lately with the rules and changes that are making it harder to go in game and just RP and have fun. Nerfing and restricting never leads to more fun in my opinion.

Been quiet for a long time, playing the game, only spoke up when i saw the in game stuff starting to go a path i did not like. More rules lawyering and factions dictating what should be fair for independants and opposing factions. Nerf the other guy but leave us alone of course......ie..do not touch the lunchbox but nerf everyone else.

I am in game lots, and try to be productive. Just seems like all the freedoms are slowly disappearing. A lot of my RPs are being affected by the changes. I did get upset when i heard that i could no longer trade independently in a large cargo ship and that my ships are getting nerfed while everyone else is getting better. I spent a long time earning the money for my trade ship. Now i either have to join a faction and follow their rules or trade longer. Had lots of fun trading independently.

I never saw a problem with independant powertraders. They are just as easy to pirate as everyone else, just tend to complain more.

There is another mod and server designed where everyone must follow cookie cutter roles and obey the hierarchy. I liked this better.

Trying to stay nice, don't nerf the indepndant's ships, please.

I should've added assignment: United States Army Institute for Military Assistance, Ft. Bragg, NC. (USAIMA)
"Operation Can't Tell Ya 1", "Operation Can't Tell Ya 2", etc.

Yes I believe there are alot of adv trains, but that is because it provides the best opportunity to make cash fast. Also, if I or anyone else has an adv train it is because we earned it by trading with smaller transports. It is now a status symbol.

Adding more 5k transports is crazy because what is the difference between them and the adv train. They both have 5k holds, right? So there isn't a difference. Who cares if their 5k transport isn't an adv train when it still has the same amount of holds? Call it what you want but it doesn't make any sense.

Now if you want to make corporation 5k ships just so they look different from the adv train I am all for that because that would add to the game. However, do not limit those who worked for their 5k transport because there are to many.

I believe you just can't have a Trader ID, get any other corporation one. I mean, I know it's not the same.. But what can you do. You don't have to join a -player- faction, you see.

People seem to like using the "space trucker" metaphor for indie traders, but I see FL trading as being more like modern-day sea transportation. THe huge superfreighters are only owned by the big corporations, not by small-time independant individuals. Yes, I also think it's fair that indie traders be more limited in terms of cargo. What they sacrifice in cargo space is made up for in the freedom to trade when they want, where the want, for whomever they so choose. The corporations may be getting the best cargo capacity, but are more restricted in terms of RP.
