My good man, there is always a way to ignore the Lotus flower/Lead-Based Paint Chip/Ritalin placebo eaters. I've been on the server for a slightly longer time than you have, trust me, I know.
In fact, it's a secret that some of the "old guard" here keep very closely guarded. But in light of the ridiculous **** measuring contest that has spawned out of this otherwise pointless thread, I will share it with you, young grasshopper!
The secret is...
Quote:Thou shalt swallow thy ego and sayeth, "I haveth been pwned by one ship that is inversely proportional to my foe's dangly parts!" And then thou shalt go and swap to another character.
Hope that helps. Works for me every time.

Personally, I couldn't care if you are indie or factionalized, if you abuse a cap ship, you aren't responsible enough to have it and it should get yanked. Already happened to a Bounty Hunter, he went home in a Starflier.
Now, IF there were in rp solutions to the problem, word would get around and things might calm down.
If I was on my Lawful and saw the Council of Dons wtfpwning a OC dessie that was causing a problem, I would just keep right on going and pretend I didn't see a thing.
Ignoring the problem is what got us to where we are.
As Edmund Burke said:
"All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing."
Lets update that for our situation:
"All that is necessary for Lolwutters and griefers to succeed is that good players do nothing."
My two cents, ignore me if you will....

If you've noticed, being attacked is what they want. They're pvpwhores, now, don't forget that.
Ignore them, and with no one to interact with, they'll leave.
EDIT:
Of course, this is only referring to Hack's nonrping, lolwutter capital ships, not generalizing to all indys.

Ignoring those whom you do not wish to play with is a time tested tactic.
And my good man, I do indeed stand up for what is right and true.... this is yet a game but for my more meager life experiences I have a Romainian build Dragunov not 10 feet away ready to assist in such quests.

They're aggressive, and most of the times they are the actual attackers. How can I ignore them? Log out ? Do I really have to be forced to do that ? By such players?
Why would people need to log off in frustration every time these individuals log on? There NEEDS to be at least SOME control over hose indies who are PROVEN to be abusing their ships. Not all indies as a whole. For example that LNS, who metagamed on his outcast and then camped Beaumont base...
A thought, although regretably it would mean more work for the admins. If a faction can get proof of an indiecap repeatedly being an absolute tit, perhaps the factions who own the ship could submit a different type of report, one asking for permission to take inRP action, most likely involving explosions, against the accused?
