We've had occasional coops with Gateway. We fill a barge, they buy the load and ship it off. Problem with those deals is always coordination. The times people mine and the times haulers are available tend to vary. Using a barge as a buffer is definately a plus.

Yeah, that is how you use a Barge. Collecting Ore and then waiting for the transport. Not by trading... ^^ And one gateway is not enough anyway. He would have to move Ore all the day. Ageira and DSE are quite active, maybe they could help a bit:)
' Wrote:I would welcome further elaboration as to why you find this crisis nonsensical, with a little background check on Rheinland's and the IMG's role play around the Omegas, you'll find that the two organizations have always been in standoff due to the greed over the area's resources.
I'd also like to see why this makes less sense than say, Unioners in Omega-5, which stands in the canon lore. Many of us, Rheinland players, have found the lack of changes and the misdirection of those introduced troubling.
I doubt you'd welcome it. You'd merely state I am wrong, when in fact I can't be wrong because it is my opinion against your opinion. As for the second part; while I can find myself agreeing with you about it, I'd like to point out that using that as justification for your own nonsensical acts is rather childish.
Have your fun, that is the purpose of the conflict. I'm merely of the mind that this isn't a role play server as much as it is a sandbox for the community to play in; that opinion has been formed by the repeat of what I view as nonsensical events such as the one you have started in Omega-7 and the absence of a game master(s) to properly control and regulate the role play environment. I'll fall back to a statement I have said before, what is considered role play on this server only exists to give PvP some form of depth.
Very interesting... and childish opinion, Dedric. You seem to think that what it's done in Omega-7 right now it's not role play. Allow me to state the opposite. It is exactly that! All the major parties involved agreed on it. The stage is set, the performers know their roles and the spectacle is rolling. If this isn't RP, I don't know what it is. And because this is a space simulation and even transports have guns on them, guess what: Role Play results in shooting others most of the time.
Some time ago, there were some complains that the economy of Disco is too static. Now that we have dynamic politics, it's not good?
Oh and, I see you have lots of complains about this "non-RP" server. The log out button is somewhere around. Also you can delete your chars if you want. There's a delete button.
If indie whiners don't like it, they can stay as useless observers as they always do.
Just like they have the right to engage in private (And often hilarious) RP, factions have the right to engage in RP of their own. All the more in this particular case because the previous admin ruling on a similar matter prevented the IMG officials from prosecuting their own indies who went openly hostile against Rhineland corporations.
I actually love these bursts of inter-faction RP that are beginning to pop out of the ground. They are making me join the factions involved... and that's what the factions want, right?
I wished there were no set background plots made by the devs (who wants Gallia anyway?). Instead, it should really be an open universe where the players really form the plot.
Want to declare war on a house which has repeatedly sent military vessels into your territory? But can't because of a silly fixed background plot that makes you eternal allies? Sucks.
So yeah, I personally approve of this conflict and any others (as long as they make sense inRP).
PS @ Daedric: If you dont like the conflict-RP, dont go down to the Omegas for a week or two. Simple as that.
' Wrote:I noticed on my Hessian that the trade lanes are now shooting at IMG patrols, and vice versa. So I think at the least the NPCs got FR5'ed
No, that was always the case. Happens when a BMM transport passes - IMG NPCs attack it and the Rheinland lawfuls assist the BMM NPCs. So the lanes end up going hostile to IMG which causes the IMG patrols to shoot the empty space in the center of the lane until their infinite power cores run out or the server resets.
One more reason to toss the IMG/BMM rephack to neutral but almost hostile;)

The role of game master has more or less been pushed onto the faction leaders (faction responsibility to generate roleplay). I'll admit I'd rather have the admins maintaining some control over matters, but they've decided not to. So as faction leads we'll do what we can to try and keep things interesting. If that means going pewpew for a while - so be it. It's a space shooter after all;)
This conflict, again, won't last. A couple of weeks tops, then a new status quo will be hammered out. Consider it an event that isn't being played out on the event server?
And Franklin: If IMG is on your to-join list, feel free to post an app in our recruitment topic. We don't have high demands of folks - just that they can roleplay and are respectful of others (even when that kind of respect isn't returned).
