Guys, you are really dont see how it bad, bad all idea around Tarrafal. Dont even care about memes or something. Just look on truth - Zoners no need that. Many peoples drawed attention on simple things - if zoners so military, where they was when omicrons burns? Where they when some zoners installations need really military protection? So... abandoned by zoners FP2 more matter then already in danger zoners FP11or Gran-Canaria?
Problem not in memes, problem in that - inRP if zoners want war, they already have it without no-needed and useless for their trade FP2. Tarrafal is mistake, are not?

It is like said, if Zoners want to fight go to FP11. When two Nomad caps and Commune can sit infront of FP11 for hours and the only Zoner present is a Roc Bomber than there is no need for an attack in Bering.
Quote:1.6 Character names must be inRoleplay and the use of excessive symbols, profanity, country tags, memes, pop-culture references as player characters is not allowed. For guidelines, look here
This same rule should really apply for factions as well, though the fact that that has to be specified is sad in and of itself.
Now: having read the infocard for Tarrafal recently: a unified zoner front to retake a former freeport of theirs is by no means out of the question as a RP concept possibility. Nobody is arguing that I don't think- nobody seriously anyway. However, the fact that that exact RP opportunity is being used to simply try to revive a dead discovery meme for cheap laughs is the problem here. By all means, if you want to base a faction around the re-taking or even the lockdown of Freeport 2 as a pirate group: please, do so. Make that part of Sirius just that much more interesting. However, please don't make a meme faction out of it.
Put some actual effort into it, make characters, give them backstories that would make them want to fight back and retake the station. Make it interesting rather than an immersion-killing memefest.
You can do a lot based on very little. Nobody is asking you to not make a faction based on the Tarrafal or Zoners as a whole. All we're asking is that it's not based on a dumb meme from 4+ years ago.

You forgot "arguing for the sake of arguing", the best rebuttal to shrug off actual valid concerns and/or reason because you have literally nothing valuable or reasonable to counter what's been brought up against your view. It's still easier than considering perhaps you are wrong. Or bring reason forward to explain why you aren't wrong. Oh if I'd have a penny every time I've met that line...

Freeport 2 Infocard Wrote:Abandoned by their former trade partners and facing an ever climbing pirate presence, the Zoners of Freeport 2 began to leave their former home little by little. Over the course of two years the population of the Freeport has gradually shifted until only a handful of its original inhabitants remain. It is uncertain when Freeport 2 fell under control of the pirate bands that had long threatened the station, but now their colors fly brazenly upon the hull of the once quiet Freeport.
On the other hand, I support the idea to extend the scope of Rule 1.6 onto faction names as well.
