Heh what kind of heated debates get spilled over poor weapon balance... It is not supprising that in war people get whatever they can, pirates even more so than lawfuls. So why not make some weapons free for all until beter ballanced posibilities exist for the deprivilaged... (corsairs for example, have a lot going against them...) Beside Powergaming is hardly good for a roleplaying atmosphere.

So if you are a true roleplayer, and you spot a Corsair with debilitators, you double scan the ship, and read "Diminished Taziona Mk mini". It is perfectly resonable that corsairs could build and field less powerful versions.. so within the game mechanics that's the best players can come up with...

They aren't using the Debbie because the Tizonas is unbalanced. Its fully balanced, a very good weapon.. they're using it simply so their loadout is better than it would be with the Tizonas on it. This isn't a balance issue, its a roleplay issue and the fact that the Corsairs are willing to disregard it just that they can use better stuff and win.

It is a balance issue.. only reason to use Adv. Deb is that it is lvl8... which corsairs don't have.. and should.
As Jure said: read "Rapier MKII" if you want.

I will not take the SA in here again.. but there it's the same balance issue with their guns beeing useless.

Blaming a group of people for no reason in a provocational way ain't the attitude we want to see here.. TBH have been sticking to the Titan, which is the crappiest VHF in the mod in my opinion, for ages. They could well purchase Raven's Talons instead of completely sticking to the Titan. Decurion still needs tweaking so using some Tigersharks if they have the RP background for it seems fair enough. Not a horde of em maybe but some of them could do fine. However, as for shield busters I would stick to the rapier and tizona line. But this civilian shieldbusters and weapons issue still seems to be open for debate and I will rest the remaining part of my assertion for now.

Until we have them. I say the Corsairs can use civvies, but apparently the admins say otherwise. I don't agree with their decision, though.

I always thought that Civilian guns are built by everybody, based on major weapon guidelines. Meh, seems Civilians became elitist as well, and everybody takes sides against Corsairs again.

Same here. I thought they were free-for-all as well.
