THEN HURRY and tell star citizen devs about this solution!! this way u might be the one who caused star citizen to have fast maneuvering ships
YOU HAPPY NOW? D:<

Hi there
Thanks for your mail.
I think the issue of inertial dampening is being addressed by our G-Safe and COMSTAB systems which form part of the ICFS, which interprets the pilot's commands to the engines and thrusters. Although, G-Safe (g-force limitation) and COMSTAB (similar to traction control in cars) can be turned off, they provide ample protection for the pilot when turned on.
in the forums of http://discoverygc.com which is a Freelancer mod server forum.
people spoke about SC(star citizen), one of the issues of SC is the slow speed of maneuvering, i think this slow speed is it be realistic, therefor it has to be slow, the solution for this is having "inertia dampeners" in the ships, which keeps the pilot from dying in fast maneuvers. thanks. and you're welcome.
note: u can make an account in the http://discoverygc.com forums and contact people who played and still play freelancer for years, their experience is priceless.

I think I remember one article saying that SC won't have any "unrealistic" gravity manipulating stuff? Of course it would be kinda sad for the crew to not be able to run around the ship during maneuvering (unless they can in which case it would just be very inconsistent on part of SC).
No atmosphere? GTFO.
The propeller is the greatest invention of all time.
It seems like every second thread on the official forums is either some [Concern] thread or a threadnought with few hundred pages over some issue that is not even present yet and may never exist.
I've found that the r/starcitizen subreddit is much calmer and people there are way less overzealous. A lot of the important information still gets posted there.
Quite frankly, if you had actually been following the alpha testing, you would already know the answer to your question - their reply to your inquiry does not offer any new information. There are no magical "inertial dampening" systems in place per se, just systems to protect the pilot (G-safe) and smooth out the ship's movement (COMSTAB), amongst other features. See here.
