PvP on the RP server

Eppy, we've been hearing that the Global server was going down for at least a year.
Regardless, how would the pirates RP if they couldn't hurt the traders? Point their guns at the ship and say "bang" ?

I was just saying a temporary lock would allow sorting out the current RP/PvP problems without neutering the RP of factions that are in conflict.

As it was already stated in your other topic, its not going to happen mate. How will it work? Were just going to give the password out to all the vets? No, not going to work. Why? Because they're are a lot of new people flying about that actually want to RP and are good at it....

No, pure and simple. Stopping PvP on the RP server is, frankly, ridiculous. If you were to stop PvP on the server then you would irreparably damage the Rp possibilities of the following groups:

- Pirates
- Terrorists
- Bounty Hunters
- Military
- Police
- Mercenaries

In fact, the only ID's you wouldn't effect would be the Trader and Neutral IDs. Everyone else, requires an element of PvP in their RP, that's a fairly obvious fact. I'm surprised that McNeo didn't realise that almost as soon as he had the idea.

Don't believe me? Then think up a stereotypical scenario for the above IDs and think of a way of getting out of it without PvP'ing.

Otherwise, the only way we're going to decide this is by playing rock, paper, scissors and who wants to spend time doing that when we have an excellent mod and a well run server. The fact that some people are allowing the few eijits to ruin their experience and then complain about it to everyone else is ridiculous.

To clarify... Turning off PvP in my opinion would turn the servers into boring old folks homes and drive away a lot more people than temporarily locking the server. I'm not saying we -need- to lock the server, I'm just saying that turning off PvP would have as bad or worse effect on server population. A comparison, a ripost, a... whatever.

I did try to maintain RP throughout that interchange...
had 3 ooc messages.
and, I will explain to you now....I was in no way trying to offend you...what i am trying to do, is enforce RP, both on myself and the people I interact with....so, if i answered your messages in a discordian style, that is only because Juno would have had no other way to interpret them....
may I remind you, that Juno has no idea that she is in a game...or that we are having this discussion.
and, I did give money to the OPG...who actually came to me and asked for a donation to the Children of Crete...in RP.
do the same, and I may even drop you a goodie.
