I think that you are forgetting/ignoring something Markus.

A lot of the factions you have targeted go to Kusari to buy Samura products and then take them back to their markets. They also bring you their goods. With these bounties you are effectively shooting your own customers and business partners. That isn't smart business.

I honestly don't think that having a bounty on everyone you view as competition is truly Samura RP, though I know some Kusari players will disagree. I think Samura would be more subtle, they wouldn't bounty everyone as you have. They'd use the Hogs and AFA to resolve issues as they arose.

In other words, if DSE disrespected Samura in some way; Samura would in turn teach them a lesson by having the AFA and Hogs visit them regularly.

Edit: Dom you Gheis. *bows* on your order. *Vanishes*

Considering the background of Samura, I don't have an objection to the overall content of the bounty, although some targets need to be reconsidered (DSE and Interspace especially since they design and insure the jump gate projects in Hokkaido and Okinawa). However, I do have an objection to the way this was implemented. Considering the very sensitive nature of this bounty, having it issued by Samura and posting it on the bounty boards was not a wise choice. You can't expect to post this to an open board while saying Samura issued the bounty and not have objections, even if it's meant to be shown only to the Hogosha and FA. A better way to implement this would be to do the following:

Talk to the leaders of the Hogosha and FA and have them post this bounty on the bounty boards, meant only for the Hogosha and FA pilots. Since the Hogosha and the FA openly hate foreigners, they should be able to post the bounty without repercussions, even if a non-Hogosha/FA pilot sees the bounty. In order to secretly include Samura, have the Hogosha/FA say that the bounty was issued by a third party (obviously Samura, but you can't say this openly without having repercussions) who will give the funds to the Hogosha/FA leaders, who will then pay their pilots for killing those with a bounty.

By doing this, Samura is in no way exposing its secret intentions since Samura is never even mentioned, only a third party is. The only ones who should know about Samura's involvement are the Hogosha/FA leaders. Not even the regular pilots should know in case they get captured and interrogated. The Hogosha/FA are able to RP their hate of foreigners while Samura remains safe from the repercussions of the bounty.

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!

Few factions acted when on deficit: IMG with O7 stuff, Liberty with HFuel is only two I saw or can remember while I have been active member of this community.

Discovery is wicked in every way. Backbone of whole house should be Corporations and general population, not militaries and police entities, well except Rheinland (and Gallia I'd guess).

But that's whole different subject not worth talking in game that is at stalemate for few years now and where community's most popular words are "I", "PvP" and "-RP (in negative meanings)".

I always held Kusari the highest of standards. But this blatant move and troll-like answers from Samura| members where the thread mostly exists as an general "we did bad, we made this thread, now excuse us while we cheaply let any legal Kusari criminal have free killing reign " is just over the line between lore and being jerks.

Probably too much of my emotional side but I had to say honest opinion.

Yes much too emotional, when you do that you start to fabricate the reasons for something happening, even when you do not know them.
I am sorry if you feel I have trolled or attempted to troll you, it was not my intention.
But please do not place those crazy, insane meanings behind our actions, I have explained why this was thought of and I do not believe I have ever said it was because we wanted to be jerks, or to let any legal Kusari criminal have free killing reign.
Saying this, I am glad you hold us in such regard.

I am at a loss on this one.

Samura is offering bounties on lawful ships to be collected by Hogosha and AFA (ok I suppose so far) and Mercs.
Yes, mercs.
People who 'do stuff' for money.
In this case, probably a lot of money. Fair enough again.

What I don't see is how Samura expect to keep this quiet. Not realistically anyway.
If you honestly believe that things like this are 'unknown' to the powers that be, you are niave at best but even that pales into insignificance here.
A merc who fancies making VERY BIG CASH VERY FAST FOR NO WORK will not have to think hard on this prospect.

Think about it. A Merc. A person who (in Freelancer terms) risks his life for money.
For a million or so creds a pop.
Risks his life....for a lousy million or two.
Life or death...in just a moment.

Or, he gets the evidence Samura readily provides and sells it to each faction on that board of yours.
Knowing it is one thing. Having proof is another.
Just how much would they pay?
Each one.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Lets take it one step further shall we?
A rival to Samura. Nothing like Samura's size obviously but vast compared to an individuals worth.
How much would they pay for that kind of info?

A merc could buy a PLANET with what that information is worth. There is no loyalty where cash is concerned. Ask the Reavers ;) if you don't believe me.

You need to seriously re-think your position there. Samura would die a death economically and take most of Kusari with it. On top of which, most Kusari vessels, assuming the government/emporer are seen to not do anything about Samura, will become a target all over Sirius including Kusari as well.

You can't compete with everyone else. Not unless you're a corsair (that last one is tongue-in-cheek). No business based empire can.

Everything you have said makes perfect sense.
Except for the part where mercs will betray us since no mercs are allowed to veiw that material.

If no one knows about it, what is the point?
If no one knows about it, what is the point?

I do not feel that it would contribute in any way to RP in this community.
Now I will also say that it is because of my view of RP that I make that statement and I accept it as my own narrow view.
But how would any other secret alliance be if you knew nothing about it.
I would jump at the chance to do it that way if I was after some pain from my competition or to be a jerk as I have been accused by some.
But the part where it is not my aim, tells me that it should just be allowed to be metagamed out of existence like so much else or we take the time to get it right.

Just noticed it. It's so hilarious that it makes me cry

Hogosha and AFA (their muscle as stated) are already pirating and attacking (non traders) most of these factions already. I don't see how this blanket bounty aka Terrorist ID will contribute to server's RP...

It's supposed to help Samura monopolize the market in imaginary RP. Market that they are not utilizing at this moment by player based RP.

Basically driving away activity (traders who attract criminals who in turn attract lawfuls, though it's different in Kusari) and then have activity issues (ex-KSP, 113th). Samura| players will not gain anything. Most of the losses will be on unsuspecting traders supplying Kusari with needed commodities.

This is not the first time nor the last that some faction is putting restrictions in game only to make other peoples lives more complicated, we will see that more and more until Admins involve some real consequences, as it is no faction has any reason to stop doing that, there is no impact whatsoever on their economy. If for example missing a certain good would make repairs or equipment in that faction skyrocket along with prices of that good and every other that uses it as material until the free supply of that good is reestablished then governments would think twice before making embargoes and companies would think twice before blanket bountying their supplier.

I saw you walking down the streat, your eyes, your lips, your nose, everything was so perfect. I started singing "who let the dogs out."
