if you have two harddrives a C and a D

install Freelancer on the D,
Run FLMM as a admin and it points to the D.
Activate
Run FL as Admin.

Freelancer modding hates C drives, just saying

Install FLMM on C:\, not in Program Files. For some reason, it makes mod activation less problematic.

Also, if you're running on windows vista or windows 7, you'll need to run it as an administrator. There is a tutorial about that on the forums too.

NO!! Read the damn tutorial guys.

There are two ways:

NO ADMIN MODE:
Just install FL anywhere but Program Files. You don't need to be admin. Don't run anything as admin.

ADMIN MODE:
If you install FL in program files then run and install everything as admin.

I don't understand why people have so many problems with vista and onwards? My partner disabled all the UCA stuff and I've never had any trouble. Plus I don't have to click on the stupid popups every few seconds.
