Look chainfiring for me doesn't work well for any setup I have as it reduces the amount of evading commands.....blah I just lost interest in trying....
' Wrote:All these things are required for regular firing too: Aim, timing, energy conservation. You basically just repeat the same sequence of button mashing whenever you pass the enemy.
Can't we just watch the NPCs fighting and trading? They even talk to each other and to the stations so they're better than us chatting. AND we don't need a FLHook command for that.

Hey guys, I find it annoying to have to aim at my target at every turn, can we FLHook that as well so I don't have to waste time on aiming, instead of dodging.
And on a more serious note:
If you want chainfire, you gotta do it yourself, the timing isn't always perfect and you must pay attention to everything else while doing it. If we start FLHooking everything to be convenient, because it's a repetitive action, next thing we know Strafing will also be FLHooked for jousters?

So...
EVE?
As to the command, though, I have to say that I'm on the side of the community where chainfiring is viewed as a skill. It's something one must develop as part of the evolution of their PvP skill. It's one of those tactics that's easy to use, difficult to master. Coordination takes practice-blah blah blah.
I don't want to sound too rude, but some of you are being dumbasses.
Chainfiring requires next to no skill (just that you have most of your fingers). It only requires a better mouse (with side buttons) so you can do it with just one click, or you can do it more slowly by using your keyboard.
Evading mines takes skill. Aiming takes skill. Autopilot for traders is stupid because then most of them would just be tabbed out for an hour at a time.
Stop using stupid arguments.

you can do that manualy - I am doing that all the time and it's not hard AT all... practice practice and you will get it. dev teams don't need more ideas that aren't very important and aren't that much needed at all.

Yes, you can do it manually.
I'm not saying that it's the salvation that every Disco player has been waiting for, but if wouldn't take long to make, then it'd be a nice addition to customizing your play. It'd just level the playing field a bit between those who have tons of extra buttons on their mouse and those who have to mash the numbers on the keyboard to chainfire.
I used to have a good mouse so I assigned the firing of two weapon groups to two side buttons, so I'd just press those two and then hold the fire button. No skill needed at all for initiating a chainfire. Of course, that mouse died and now I don't have extra cash so I'm stuck with a crappy one.
