I dont think they should go all the way back up to where they where (14k), somewhere around 10k will stop most people mounting more than 3.
10k-12k would probably be best. I could already fire 3 normal turrets + 2 Cerbs for quite a bit before, so 12k would probably be better.

well, i got 4 kusari gunboat turrets - so i don t really know. but i think cerberus turrets are meant to be burst damage instead of sustained damage. so 14k/shot would be OK, i think. its meant to fire 2 - 3 salvos and drain the energy ( when the gunboat is jousting for example ).

anyway, i dislike the annoying sound of cerberus turrets aswell as the green projectile.

I deliberately didn't purchase them because i thought they were pretty spammy and lame.

And you don't need cerbs if you have a fwd gun. Fair enough, I don't kill every GB I take on, but its not like cerbs are must have.

Earn your captain status, get old-skool on their ass. (stock guns FTW):P

P.S. Armor upgrade? Whats an armor upgrade?:PAnyone fancy givin me a general-purpose MK VIII?

even before the cerbs got there energy requirements dropped, I used 3 out of 6 turrets. The only reason I use 5 now is because I take on a LOT of GB's, and I would lose to all of them that spam those suckers.

We're still in beta, the Cerbs are gonna get fixed, and cruiser power is being increased. Don't worry so much about it. People aren't going to stop using the Cerbs until there's reason not to. It's not OORP for someone to use nothing but Cerberus turrets, currently it's in everyone's best interest to do so. It'll get fixed, and until it does, you just have to live with it.

Armor upgrade gives you 2.5x more hull. But it's only worth untill you start using bots.
When you do start using bots, you will use more bots (because you have more hull).
At least ya won't die from 1 nuke in a fighter:P

I had a rogue gunboat with 6 cerbs on it back on 4.83... yeah it ran out of energy in about 3 seconds:)

It goes along the same lines as MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction; read: Nukes). Basically, like nukes today, if you don't have it, it allows the other people to "nuke" you without any chance of retaliation, cuz you're dead by the time your army can get to them.

I just about got blown up by someone with that same attitude. "I agree they're a little overpowered, but I intend to use what's most effective." Sorry, but I think that attitude stinks, and I will simply continue to get blown up until the cerbs are fixed. Not terribly fun for me, and not terribly sporting for the cerbspammers to be doing, but that's how I'm going to play it. And my traders will never be armed with sallies or tizzies, etc, etc.

No offense, Zapp, I know what you're saying; I'm just saying that I don't want to give in to that mentality.
